San Vito lo Capo is the town my paternal great-grandmother came from. Maternal great-grandparents are from Cefalu and Monreale, also Gesso.

Absolutely beautiful and so informative. My mother was born in Gualdo Tadino, so I will keep looking to see if you've ever visited there. My father was born in Bologna and they even spoke different dialects. With all the walking that you do in Italy, I find it funny that they frown on wearing gym shoes, or sneakers....

@@YouMeandSicily I made the same mistake - for some reason native English speakers want to put the stress on the second syllable. Anyway, thank you posting this video. I was in Trapani a few weeks ago and it really is a great base for exploring that part of Sicily. It's easy to get the bus or the train to Palermo, Marsala, Segesta etc.
