And yet the entire fun of the match revolves on the killer that played one of the worst killers with an add ons that weakens them even more. The Otz build brought 0 ammount of fun to the match. Most decent survivors against this myers would just genrush and exit 2 minutes after the game started and that's what's boring.

That's because doing gens is not boring, the whole tension of DBD is having to be stationary while being hunted. It's a push your luck/risk reward/time management puzzle. This premise is a meme of course, but also wrong.

That's because the game is actually quite survivor sided, the problem is solo Q will skew your perception of this as you get potato teammates. I've been max rank survivor and killer for years. Survivor has a slightly higher learning curve around loops but once you learn it you can make most killers into jokes.

Diversion is such a fun perk to use. There's a serious side to it but that typically only works once, maybe twice. But there's nothing funnier than a killer running straight at you and you toss a rock at them for them to turn around as you slowly crouch walk away.

That's why I always run soul guard. My favorite perk, killers usually run devour or noed and that free pickup, hit, speedboost has let me escape more times than it should. Sometimes I get no value, but when I do, I get VALUE

The charm Otz is talking about is from Tome 5 Unleashed, the last level, the Pustula Flower (I believe) Because Tome 3 Escalation has the Lvl 3 Golden Entity Abstract.

there is one charm that I think very, very slightly gives survivor an advantage. The iri flashlight charm can slightly obscure the killers vision when you're being carried because it has a little beam that pokes out.

I almost always run very odd builds. I like the challenge it brings and I also just like how the perks work. My favorite build is wake up!, Vigil, hope, and made for this (often switch between made for this and an exhaust perk). One of my other fave builds is Kindred, Open Handed, sprint burst and blood rush. Another build I use a lot is ace in the hole, plunders, appraisal and deception.

I've been running Deja Vu in my main build these last few weeks and it's been a lifesaver tbh. Breaking 3 gens on my own constantly has been such a help for solo que games. It helps where at the end the last 3 are far apart as can be, and I can see them all.

Lately I've been addicted to Iron will more than anything. My go to build is: Iron Will, Fogwise, Inner Healing and Resil. I change Fogwise or Resil out a lot though. But given that I've been playing a lot of Quentin lately I feel obligated to run Adrenaline for lore reasons. Bonus: Honorable mention for Potential Energy. I really love playing with that perk, it's the 3-gen stall saviour and it feels so good when you pull it off in a situation like that.

But Fogwise adds some spice to fixing gens and I think the info you get about what the killer is currently doing is really valuable. Plus being good incentive for hitting great skill-checks (like Hyperfocus). But the other day I introduced Dark Sense into a build and I've been really liking it!

this video was so cozy!!! I really enjoyed it and would love to see more like it :3 also I think the Pride charms can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on what kinda player you are. If you like chases, some killers may be more likely to try and tunnel you out, and cool rad awesome killers may let you live or be a little less likely to use unfun strategies against you. I think this effect is magnified if you use specific pride flags, such as the trans/nonbinary flags, or just specific flags that may apply to you or something. these advantages/disadvantages are obviously super marginal, but I think it's worth mentioning :p

I absolutely suck at looping and can't say I enjoy being chased most of the time (I would play almost exclusively killer if not for the long queues), so that looks like a build for me :D Minus Streetwise and the Medkit since I don't use items. I'd probably use Distortion so I can get on my gen and just not worry about getting found first if the Killer uses Lethal Pursuer.

I know this video is kinda old but i recently switched up my build from dramaturgy, botany knowledge, we'll make it, and leadership (healing centered build) to decisive strike, made for this, deadhard, and deliverance (anti-tunneling) and ive had some super fun matches. Using deliverance only moments after the killer leaves the hook ensures theyll immediately come back to tunnel me then i get to use all my second chance perks

Since we're talking about charms with advantages, I think there is one tricky charm on survivor that works best if teammates bring flashlights. There is the entity covered flashlight that gives off a beam of light. I've seen a few players confused by it before, you just have to make sure it's towards the center of your body.

a build I like using that is similar to that one is: prove thyself, deja vu, situational awareness, and self-aware. With this build, you can do gens faster but still have the information necessary to know if you should stay on the gen or go and unhook. self-aware I just a perk that I like using but it can be easily switched out for something more useful.

I like to do “similar” perk builds. Actually ended up finding a build I like to stick with that way. And by “similar” I mean like finding perks that have the same effects or requirements. Example: Borrowed Time - Endurance + Speed Guardian - Speed + Aura Reading Buckle Up - Aura Reading + Speed We’re Gonna Live Forever - Endurance And all of them are for saving other survivors.

Scavenger, replace the medkit with the beefiest toolbox you can get your hands on, Overcome, and Distortion. Also, for the charms thing, one thing I do is I put the brightest charms possible on my hooks. This is to help counteract the aura blocking effects from Boil Over or Residual Manifest

I decided to try solo Q build - Prove thyself, Situational Awareness, Corrective Action and Deja Vu, It is rather plain, but it's pretty handy to guide some players, help with objective and save some missed skillchecks (Sometimes it legit saves the progress, cuz of random skillcheck explosion) it's pretty nice to play it time to time

I never run Prove Thyself without Better Together. You need Better Together to attract survivors to your generator like a magnet in soloq, it even helps in swf so they know which gen you are on. I tried Prove Thyself, Better Together, and Deja Vu for gen build and got tunnelled hard by Wraith. I just wished I had Decisive Strike in that match lol.

I almost always try to use blast mine for every build it's very fun, but when i see Ci and DL and the Kellers start to camp every game i give them the bombastic side eye and just bring sprint and BNP to make the games easier so it's just a direct correlation (I hope the last sentence makes sense, English is not my first language ^^).
