I remember that my grandma and I were intimidated by “los zetas” in Monterrey, Mexico. Yeah, my parents went around South America before they had me, my brother and my sister - and at one point they were put in separate cars and the guy said to my dad, 'If you want to see your wife again pay up' maybe a bit less threatening but my dad gave him £20 (which is a lot of their currency) and afterwards they were so friendly they even had drinks with my parents - don't worry they didn't tie up or hurt my mum, apparently they just sat there in the other car. Even then, that's extreme luck they didn't go £1,000,000!

As aforementioned, I love these types of episodes that deals with murders, serial killers, gangs, etc. At least I'm able to see the aftermath of the executions, or the types of gruesome homicides, without having to actually go online to see the actual graphic footage. What about the black hand gang? They killed arch duke Franz Ferdinand and his pregnant wife Sophia resulting in WW1. On the 28th of June 1914 in Sarajevo, Bosnia 7 killers were preparing to murder Archduke Franz Ferdinand. They wanted him dead because Bosnia was dictated by the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Serbia was not. They wanted to be independent like Serbia. All the alliances were in place. There was a lot of strain between the countries and Bosnia and Serbia were the two that triggered the alliances and started WW1. The archduke and his wife were touring Bosnia and to the black hand gang this was the perfect time to strike. The men were from Bosnia and the weapons were supplied by Danilo Ilic who was from Serbia and he supplied them with grenades, guns and cyanide. The plan was to line up along apple quay (the name of the street) and first in line would be mehamed basi who was armed with a gun and cyanide. After him was Cabrinovic with a grenade and cyanide. Cabrinovic was dying of tuberculosis so he had nothing to loose. They planned to commit suicide after killing the archduke but that didn’t work out for them. The archduke and his wife were in the 3rd car of 6. They stood and waited and when it was mehamed basi’s time to fire, he didn’t. After him Cabrinovic threw his grenade which unknowingly had a 10 second time delay and bounced of the back of the car not killing anyone. He then proceeded to drink his cyanide and jumped into a river to make sure he died. The rest of the gang after him were so shocked none of them acted. Cabrinovic was unlucky. The cyanide was old and didn’t work and only made him sick. As for the river, it was 4 inches deep so he couldn’t drown in it. He was arrested and taken in for questioning. This made the rest of the gang nervous as they could be found out. They all dispersed and man of the name Gavrilo Princip was armed with a gun still. He was also dying of TB and had nothing to loose. He was just waiting around when the car came round the bend. The driver had taken a wrong turn. Before the driver could get away the brakes jammed and Princip shot the archduke and his wife. Police got him before he could commit suicide and took him away for questioning. Like Cabrinovic he kept his vow of silence. It was a tip from Danilo Ilic that had the men arrested. The men over 20 were hanged and the ones under that were made to serve life in prison. Both Cabrinovic and Princip died in prison from tuberculosis. When Bosnia accused Serbia of supplying the weapons they didn’t know so the denied it. On the 28th july 1914 the Austro-Hungary declare war with Serbia unhappy at the response. On the 29th July 1914 Russia mobilised to support Serbia because of their alliance. On the 1st August 1914 Germany declared war on Russia due to the alliances. On the 3rd August Germany also declared war on France. On the 4th August 1914 Germany invaded Belgium using the Schlieffen plan. Because of Britain’s alliance with Belgium, Britain declared war on Germany. On the 5th August 1914 Austro-Hungary declared war on Russia. By the 12th August 1914 France and Britain declared war with Austro-Hungary. And that people, is why I get called a nerd!😅

The Kelly Gang in Australia is really interesting. Their leader Ned Kelly has become a folk hero, kind of like an Australian Robin Hood, mostly because the police were so corrupt at that time. They were horse thieves and murderers in the mid 1800s (when Australia was still a colony). Ned Kelly made a bullet proof suit of armour at blacksmith and robbed banks while wearing it.
