Stock Crosstrek with just a spare tire already chugs when going up a mountain. Can’t imagine this car ever leaves first gear and probably tops out at 25mph.

Extra plies are a catch22...a lower ply tire will be more flexible and have better traction for its given size. The weight it also important with our poorly geared Subies.

The market is still very niche! Slowly we’re are getting more support but it’s slot of upfront cost for not a lot of buyers like keeps or Tacoma’s!

The aftermarket keeps getting better. I can find turbos, intake spacers, exhausts, high-flow airfilters, air/oil separators, diff-lockers, suspensions, hitches, winchmounts, bumpers, skids, rockers, wheels, spare-carriers, lights, etc.

It has to be the most overweight Crosstrek build too. Although it looks cool, owner need to consider the little hatchback was never engineered for all that weight - which mean poor reliability as factory components will fail under the heavy stress, and poor handling as the engine/chassis struggles with the weight.
