I did this install on my 2015 A6 a few days ago. Overall the process was easier than I expected. The hardest part was maneuvering the cables into position to make room for the unit to slide back in. Also, I would leave the brown cable in the back of the glovebox connected. In the video you can see that cable was disconnected (@1:59) but if you start the car while still disconnected, you may get an orange Airbag light on your dashboard. That’s what happened to me and I had to clear it using the “ANCEL VD500 OBD II Diagnostic Scanner for Volkswagen VW Audi (SRS)” that I got from amz for about $60. Anyway, I love this device! It took my A6’s infotainment into the modern age. An awesome upgrade!!!!

hey man, Audi A6 C7 2011, same multimedia compartment and cables as yours - but I cannot push the multimedia back? The big connector just doesn't fit in there, no matter where I try to put it?

Hi there this is i think the best unit for aftermarket solution Carplay on a MMI 3G. beacause of the MOST instead using AUX or AMI . but what do you use the mic for is it only for SIRI or for handsfree calling.

Question: I have a 2011 Sline A6 and I removed the CD stacker as it no longer works and put a bypass connector (or whatever it's called) to ensure the rest of MMI functions continued working and I'm wondering if I can simply connect this device into the connections previously used by the CD Stacker, ie fibre and power and be up and running? Thank you in advance

Sure, you can just plug in the cd changer connector into mr12volt CarPlay. Simple as that. :}

Can you adjust the CarPlay display edges in the settings? These look very cropped, as can be seen in 12:48

adjust 4th and 5th dip to best match edges

yeah, microphone is included in the package.

@@mgtcn It does not integrate with OEM microphone, however you can connect both Audi and mr12volt bluetooth at the same time, and by this you can still use OEM mic for calls.

What about the HUD and instrument cluster when using Google Maps, does the navigation still come up as always? Or do i have to use the original navi?

it would support all factory fitted feature, HUD is a aftermarket installed, and it isnt compatible with.

Hello, How about known problem with other displays/carplays regarding sound quality ? Does it works on TRUE digital input and MOST system ? i want to instal it in my A6 4G with B&O system but any degradation of sound is not acceptable for me. (like others using AUX).

This is what mr12volt differs from others, it has the best audio quality as it runs in MOST system. With a B&O system, mr12volt will be your best option.
