Hi Erica! I've seen you talk about those compression socks in so many videos. I bought a pair and put them on while working at my desk and felt an immediate difference! Thanks for the tip. Is there guidance on how long it's ok to wear compression socks? I'm traveling from the US west coast to Cambodia in a couple of months and am not sure if I should wear them for the whole plane ride.

Wow Cambodia! 🤩Have a blast!! I’ve worn my socks for a full 24 hours once since we had a long plane ride to Singapore and then Thailand and then ride to the hotel 😚. No major guidelines but it’s like any article of clothing where you are just wanting to strip, shower, and lay in pajamas in bed heheh 🤭 My everyday use is 10 hours with my sockies 🤓

Hi Erika I need some help desperate. I bought some compression socks out of SHEIN for my upcoming November trip to Japan and they came today and while they went up the calf part was extremely tight (I have big fat calfs) and it hurt idk if that was normal or not. I ordered them in their biggest size XXL and since I never use them idk if they are correct or they are too tight and should go higher but every plus size in amazon has mixed reviews and im confuse.

I usually dress up as a fat person and complain to the flight attendant that I need two seats to fit my body, making a commotion so that I get transferred to first class. Then, I request that they serve me everything on the menu x10 and state that my typical diet consists of everything from the grocery store, including magazines and balloons.

why footballers rip their compression socks alleging it will prevent injury?

A lot of sport socks are different than the other compression socks because they serve a different purpose. Some socks like soccer socks are tighter so they can hold up the shin guards etc. Also depending on the size of the calf, some socks can be very restrictive. While there isn’t much research on cutting the socks, theoretically their muscles are already acting as the pump to return the blood to their heart so perhaps they don’t necessarily need the extra compression from a sock. Some runners wear compression socks to help with circulation. **But pretty much if the athlete is wearing the appropriate pressure of sock for the size of their calf, there shouldn’t be an issue.** In American football a lot of those calves are huge so I can see if their sock felt too tight why they would want to cut it😝 When it comes to compressions socks, there are different units of pressure (mmHg) that are used for different purposes as well. Like lymphedema etc.
