Just an FYI! Less then 1% of the snakes bites in the US are fatal. So them saying that the Western Diamond Back is the most deadly in the US might be accurate but also criminally overblown. The only way your dying from a bite is if you were an idiot while hiking alone and were beyond dumb as to not bring a phone and the number of the local park/forestry service. Maybe you don't have signal? Sure that's not uncommon, again you'd have to be an idiot while hiking, but hopefully you weren't dumb enough to hike somewhere without telling someone you've gone hiking there. They said it pretty plainly. ALSO usually there are information sign next to the heads of trails with details on what to do if you get bit! Don't be an idiot and read them. The only people who die are people who don't get treatment.
