I'm not saying these places are safe, but I'm always very hesitant when it comes to statistics with tiny sample sizes. When you have a town with less than 15k population, a single bad incident can bump it to the top of the list. It's like saying that rattlesnake-taming is the world's most dangerous occupation. Well...when you've got 3 people doing it and one dies, you now have a 33% mortality rate. It would have been cool to list the populations of these towns. If one had 14k and one had 300, that would make a significant difference in how reliable the stats were.
@abbynormal703623 күн бұрын
I didn't see any towns lower than 8k populations... I did a quick demographic via Wiki... Demographics... Emeryville -40% Whites, Globe about 50-50 when not counting Hispanics as whites, Greenwood MS has about 25% Whites, Marksville LA is about 40% White, Helena West Helena is 20% Whites, Salem NJ - 24% Whites, Muskegon Heights - 16% Whites, Osceola Arkansas is 37% White, Florida City Florida has under 4% Whites, and finally Sauk Village Illinois has a White population of 3% when you subtract Hispanics from the equation.

The problem with blue is they haven’t won an election based on ideas in decades. It’s all been about identity politics and it’s annoying. They always have to create a boogeyman to win an election, most of the time they fear monger things that arent even real. But if you think red isn’t doing bad stuff you’re not paying attention. Remember the scene in "The Blues Brothers" where the cops chased the Bluesmobile around inside the shopping mall? That was shot at Dixie Square mall, which had been abandoned for several years when the made the movie. That's Saulk Village. I grew up south of Gary, and Saulk Village was about 15 miles away. Pretty much their whole economy revolved around selling liquor at retail to Indiana residents (Indiana has high liquor taxes and fixed pricing; Illinois has lower liquor taxes and free market pricing).

I feel like Clovis should be on this list. It's notorious for how violent the place is.

I have friends and family in the East Fresno and Clovis area. The homelessness is worse in Fresno now but crime, graffiti, violence seemed far worse in the late 90s early 2000s in that area. It is an area with its challenges but I would take it over Bakersfield any day of the week.

The aerial view of Helena West Helena shows a lot of damaged and destroyed buildings. It looked like one had cinder blocked windows. Looks like really rough economic times and a past disaster or two kicked a town that was already down.

Residents of Florida City here. Lots of homeless people lots of meth addicts walking around. And there has a lot of missing persons that when did disappear it goes undocumented here. That being said they're building brand new developments here townhouses starting in the 350 and new homes starting in the 550s within 2 miles of the maximum security prison here.

That's only going to make it worse not better. I figured the Florida City government would learn from the mistakes over in the city of Miami for the last 20+ years.
