I won’t complain after watching what these children endured. Lorenzo was so small (I also noticed his Blues Clues shirt!) to make that trip at all, and he did it all alone! It broke my heart when he had to take shelter in the small “cave”. The girls were like little mountain goats, hopping down the mountainside. I’m sure it was much harder than they made it look, especially for the youngest.

I don't care what anyone says. I've lived 40 years here and these kids are so terrible I literally can't put it in words. Now it's so bad that I will go nowhere after dark, Period! Our government was poor and didn’t offer meals to us back to that time, so we need to carry rice, cooked food and bed stuff by ourselves through mountains to school. Cooked food are easy to get bad during hot weather, then most of time we just bring some salted vegetables or meat to eat a whole week.
