You are such a fabulous cook Chetna. I am planning on making a chicken curry from your book the feasts one today after work. Have already marinated the chicken.................... roll on 4:20 PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks great. We make these regularly. Instead of a tsp of cumin powder, which I personally feel might be overpowering for 1/2 kg chicken, you could try 1/2 tsp of ground cumin and 1/2 tsp ground dried coriander. We don’t usually skip coriander powder in our kebab.

Wow lovely i make these on regular basis. As I dont eat red meat i just buy mini chicken breast fillets and mince in chopper with all these ingredients.Last week i shaped in to meat balls and cooked like normal chicken curry served with rice.

These look so delicious! I love your chicken seekh kebabs recipe from Healthy Indian and would really like to make a vegetarian version - nothing seems to hold its shape as well as minced chicken though - they're so tasty 😂

You can just mince the chicken in a blender
@nen643 күн бұрын
best way is to freeze it in cubes and then put in a blender and you have minced chicken meat

For Indian cooking - is it best to use birds eye chillies or rocket chillies? And is there a difference between red and green or is just aesthetics? Thank you 😊

No egg required??
@aliciaf10554 күн бұрын
If you work the chicken thoroughly, the proteins in the chicken bind it together and you don't need any egg or other binders.
@FoodwithChetna3 күн бұрын
no, just make sure to mash well

Nice recipe but I would call it tikki rather than Kabab. Kabab is chicken with bones and deep fried.
@UmmEss3 күн бұрын
No it absolutely isn't lol
@koda39674 күн бұрын
Looks delicious! The one thing that confuses me: I thought kababs were formed around a "stick" and cooked, providing a 'handle' to eat them, (or, as we do, push them off into a waiting bun). I must say, simply frying them looks much easier! 🫂
@nitishsaxena13723 күн бұрын
These are "Indian kebabs" and they're supposed to be like this. We've a stick version as well and we call them seekh kebabs.
@FoodwithChetna3 күн бұрын
Yes those are called seekh kebab because they are on a stick (seekh)
