I get your motif for these couple/three shows - how to bring back the regionality for the old school feel. It’s noble. I guess I’ve adjusted to the changes already and don’t think much about that anymore. However, I will say because of non conference schedules and the Rose Bowl agreements the West coast teams are already familiar to the Big Ten historically anyways. The name - Big Ten - also connotes bigness which kind of fits a national brand too. I’m ok with it becoming a 22-24 team conference. I’m also ok with no divisions at least for football and basketball and skipping a conference championship game for football because of expanded playoff teams.

I would say it is highly possible that B1G goes to 21 with ND, Stanford and Cal (B1G was at 11 when they added PSU in 1992 until 2010 when Nebraska was added as #12).

Now that UNC (and perhaps UVA) appear to be unavailable to the B1G, I can see this. Wouldn't address the B1G's compelling demo concerns.

ND isn’t independent in football with its scheduling requirement with the ACC. ND has no control of 42% of its annual schedule. That’s pseudo-independent.

If the ACC dilutes, just join Oregon Stage and Wazzu to start the PAC (Pacific-Atlantic Conference). You’d already also have Cal and Stanford on the west coast

The on,y rivalry game I’d like to keep on the schedule every year for Wisconsin is Minnesota, and the only reason is to keep it the most ever played rivalry game in college football.

I suggested the no OOC schedule in the previous video. I’d like to see a 28 team B1G w/4 divisions of 7. That means 3 home/3 away games. The other 6 games are made up of home/away games with 2 teams in each of the other 3 divisions. This would makeup a 12 game schedule. Every team would play each other once every 4 years in the other 3 divisions on rotation. West: USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, Wash, Oregon, Nebraska Midwest: Iowa, Minny, Wisconsin, Illinois, NW, ND, Purdue Southeast: Miami, FSU, GT, Clemson, UNC, Duke, UVA East: Michigan, MSU, tOSU, PSU, Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana. If ND refuses I make a play for Colorado, Utah, TA&M, or Syracuse. Dumping the OOC games means the traditional games vs the MAC would tossed for better games within the conference where every team has to take a road trip out of their region. I think people are willing to sacrifice OOC games when your team is playing interesting intersectional matchups that are now regular season division games.

B1G&FS1 air games & a streamer gets the other 330pm games. CBS Sports Net get rights to 330pm B1G Red Zone.

Wow, that's crazy! Of course I'd want to see Oregon play Michigan and Ohio St. The perfect schedule would be one where every team visits all stadiums at least once every 4 years. Ohio St travels to Eugene this year. It would suck to have to wait a generation to see them back here again, just so that we get to play Minnesota every year.
