I've never come across this poem.. It's amazing and I'm quite happy that I'm not alone who mispronounce the words in English.. But teacher you've pronounced very well.. I think I need to practice this poem and I think my pronounciation would be rectified.. Well, thanks teacher for this great lesson.. I'm from India and sadly I don't sound like natives.. Good morning teacher Wes!!! One day I asked an American friend about a rule to follow in English. He told me English is a memory language because I noticed there was kind a rule but suddenly pronunciation changed and...... yeah!!!!! My goodness it's true. This poem shows up this truth!!! Wow!!! Hi Samy. I'm not sure about the year, but this is an old poem. Some of the words are outdated and not often used. It's in the poem just to show how crazy pronunciation can be. 😊

You pronounced the wind and wind part firstly, then quickly changed the pronunciation. I know wwind can be pronounced with /i:/ and /ai/ but how do you know that which is which in this case? And what does supercalifragilisticexpialidocious means? Thanks.

Hi Judit. Some of the homonyms I pronounced correctly but put in the wrong order. I know this because they were meant to rhyme with another word later on in the stanza. But if that's the case, I didn't highlight those. And supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is from Mary Poppins. 👍

Hey , It’s a tough poem well I have problem to pronounce th sound it’s not easy to say it correct but , I think there are so many words that I can’t pronounce very well and I’ve found them in this poem:) it’s a big challenge to pronounce all o those words correctly:)

brilliant! BUT those are reading mistakes :) There are some other videos on YT where they ask foreigners to read words out loud which they probably haven't seen before. That's very different from, say mispronouncing a word because you can't make the correct sound.

Pronunciation mistakes cover a wide range between using the incorrect sound, not being able to produce the sound, stressing the wrong syllable, or even using incorrect emphasis/intonation. As a native speaker, I can produce all the sounds, but I'll still mispronounce words from time to time. 👍

I know that I will pronounce 60% of the words incorrectly but there are some words that I don't know how you could not pronounce correctly like "vapour" for example I guess the other words which were near it confused you
