Most Disappointing/Least Favorite Books of 2023!

New to your channel. I found you through a search for 2023 favorites. Ahh. Thank you! I also was disappointed by If We Were Villains. I found it so boring. Bummer to hear about Lapvona. I have it on my shelf atm. I was also underwhelmed by Tomorrow x3. I found it kind of boring even though I think I was supposed to relate to it. I’ve yet to read any Celeste Ng although I have two of her books on my shelves. 😅 Sad to see Cloud Cuckoo Land. I love Doerr’s writing, although I haven’t read that one yet. Lovely video and well articulated thoughts on why a book didn’t work for you. I’ve subscribed and look forward to checking out more of your content soon.

Uh, oh! I must confess that I was disappointed with Donna Tartt books this past year. I had heard so much about her books I just had to give her books a try. I am 77 yo so possibly I am out of the loop in regards to the dark academia craze. I still enjoy identifying with characters and could not feel connected at all with the intellectual atmosphere of Tartt's characters and plot. Does any feel like I do? I'm feeling so old and out-of-it.
