Clearly it was not a first offense for Schumacher.... The best description of Schumacher is that he was ruthless. Vettel's clash with Hamilton was equally an willful incident that was shocking to watch. Then the Hamilton, Verstappen CRASH was bad..... As Max said looking back Hamilton and in my opinion Verstappen both deserved a "kicking" for not thinking about what the other driver might do. Then it was repeated again with Verstappen driving his car over the top of Hamilton's, neither driver thought about what the other would do. OR intentionally ignored the consequences of their actions.

In 1994, Australia, Schumacher was a blatant, dirty cheat and should've been disqualified from the season entirely. It wasn't the first time and it wouldn't be the last. In Jerez, 1997, Schumacher was again battling for the championship. When his arch rival, Villeneuve, went to overtake him, Schumacher deliberately turned in and hit him. As a result, Schumacher was stripped of his points for the season. During his career he often resorted to dirty tricks and I am amazed that he is held in such high regard. By comparison, Hamilton and Verstappen are almost angelic.

LH shows true blood when he's threatened (like in the Nico Rosberg season). The whole act he normally pulls off like @krisby1 says is a PR machine. At pretty much every post race interview thanking the crowd and saying its the best. A nice guy act that doesn't fool me. Ever since it's not going swell at Mercedes you hear him quite often complain/whine awfully. Strangest is that Toto is going along with it instead of putting the diva back on his place every once and a while. LH had the luck that one Bottas was his wingman like Barichello was to Schumacher, in a very dominating car so he could drive off into the horizon and only bother and complain about his tyres in most races. Surely he is one of the F1 greatest. He has shown in rain races he got tremendous skills and LH brought home dozens of wins with very clean races showing he has the mental power to stay focussed as well. Neverthless it seems that MV surpasses him in the latter one as he is showing also showing the same faultless, clean driving and overcapacity compared to others for over 3 years already while the margin RB has in comparison to the competition wasn't as huge as in the Mercedes heydays and seems faded completely atm.

Yes sky1 said that. It was only not true. No one goes to the hospital and stays overnight for checks because they are completely fine. They said that so they could celebrate without having to pretend to care. Other things they said: 1. It was Max’s own fault (brindle) 2. He finally got a taste of his own medicine (Ted) 3. Max is just being dramatic staying overnight in the hospital (Croft). I remember that. They really didn’t care. It changed the whole atmosphere for the rest of the season.

Also all he knew was that max was just fine and just going to the hospital for standard checkups you always have to do. Its not like Mercedes told him "Lewis mate he had a 50G impact and will be in the hospital at least until tomorrow" and then he went on celebrate as he did. From his side it was a racing incident (most drivers and F1 expect think similar). Maybe Lewis had more than 50% responsibility, but people saying this was somehow on purpose or 100% Lewis fault are most literally only hardcore fanboys in comment sections. In actual F1 scene only people working for redbull pretend that this was 0% max and 100% lewis fault. And anyone who is going to pretend that Max wouldnt celebrate after crashing his opponent out is completely dellusional. If he had won the Austrian GP after crashing out Norris he would have celebrated just as much and he arguably had a much higher responsibility for their crash back then given how much he was moving under breaking lol

Ahhhhh please stop with this "pro Max Verstappen" narrative. Max's driving style ("move/ back off or we crash") is simply dangerous (for himself as well as for others) and disgusting. In 2021 the first corner of Imola, the first corner of Barcelona, the second chicane in the first lap of Monza, the terrible accident at the first chicane of Monza, "Descida Do Lago" (turn 4) in Brazil, Jeddah (turn 1 and brake testing), Abu Dhabi first lap turn 6, Abu Dhabi last (illegal) lap turn 5. On most of these occasions the accident did not happen just because Lewis avoided it. In Monza without the Halo Hamilton could have lost his life. Speaking of Silverstone, Lewis was practically alongside Max on the inside, Verstappen cuts Lewis off and touches him with his rear tyre, causing the accident himself.

Schumacher has the worst record for unsporting behaviour- it's permanently tarnished his reputation. To Vettel's credit, he quickly regretted his own actions and apologised for it- he recognised he was at fault. Schumacher never did- he exhibited characteristics you associate with a functioning psychopath- utterly ruthless, zero empathy for others, completely self-centred. A great driver, but very badly flawed. Reubens B was one of the most likeable men in the sport, he was immensely popular, he should have decked Schumacher for his cynical behaviour- he could easily have been killed. It was outrageously dangerous and irresponsible behaviour- all the worse against a former team mate who was always loyal.

@Andrwme5 ай бұрын
No! Senna and Prost were just as ridiculous when they behaved that way on track! I think people allow Senna leniency because Prost's actions the year before were never dealt with correctly and disqualified him instead, taking away his championship. Prost should've been disqualified for his actions in '89 and, had that been done, Senna would, most likely, never have taken them both out... Your accusation "British driver almost kills Dutch driver" is entirely false. Verstappen turned in on Hamilton and therefore responsible for the collision. The evidence is available in the onboard footage. Furthermore, the incident at Monza later that same year, was considerably more life threatening because the car nearly landed on Hamilton's head and - again this available in all footage available - the wheel of Verstappen's car actually hit Hamilton's helmet! Furthermore, in the same way that Schumacher was disqualified from the championship in '97, Verstappen should have also been for his actions in Saudi.

Watch the footage again and MAYBE you'll actually see what happened. Furthermore, this is a result of your lack of attention being paid to what actually took place, the wheel of Verstappen's car ACTUALLY hit Hamilton's helmet! Never mind the fact that the halo wouldn't have done anything because there's sufficient gap for a tyre to fit - as it clearly did. Had the impact been any more severe, Hamilton could've easily been seriously injured or worse. How about actually paying attention to what actually happened.

@@CX0909 The way it looked to me was that Max took the normal racing line and Lewis pushed up, you can clearly see the gap between the inside white line and Lewis' car get wider, and thats at corner entry. Its early in the race, the cars are full of fuel, and its an extremely high speed corner, I just don't see the RB being such a great car that Max can point the nose on entry at will towards the apex regardless of speed, that's a pretty incredible car if he can do that at those speeds. And its not like we have not seen Lewis pull that exact same move before with Albon and others that I cant recall at the moment, but I'm sure with a little time I could find more examples. Lastly Lewis' front left hit Max's right rear, that hardly qualifies as being beside him.
