This is the Dewalt DW2014C4 Drywall Screw Setter. This Dewalt drywall screw setter is from the Dewalt drywall tools line of driver bits. The engineers at DeWalt tools finally designed a must have tool for drywall screws. The DW2014C4 Dewalt drywall bit accessory helps you drive the screw into the drywall at the perfect depth, without over driving it and causing the drywall paper to tear. this is one of the most clever DeWalt driver bits they have produced. We have links to the Dewalt DW2014 beeow. This is one of the required must have tools for your DeWalt Drill. These deWalt drill accessories should be in your bag to augment your drywall screw gun. This video is a great demonstation of the drywall screw gun vs drill, where we show our Senco screw gun in action. This Senco drywall screw gun performed well, and so did the Dewalt DW2014C4 Drywall Screw Setter.
Tools and products mentioned in this drywall drill video:
Dewalt DW2014C4 Drywall Screw Setter (4-Pack): amzn.to/2YC6Yhi
SKIL Power Screwdriver With Cutter Attachment amzn.to/30uBOub
DEWALT DCK299D1T1 Hammer Drill, Impact Driver Kit: amzn.to/2M6h450
SENCO Duraspin drywall screw gun DS212 18 V cordless amzn.to/2WffAgu
Senco Duraspin 1-5/8" Drywall Wood Collated Screw (1, 000 ct) amzn.to/2HpQC5C
Senco 06B125P 6 1-1/4-Inch Drywall Screw-Light Steel amzn.to/2HrahSY
This Dewalt drywall screwdriver bit is the perfect drywall screw drill bit to help you screw in
drywall screws to the correct textbook drywall screw depth every time. You can see here we compared this drywall screw setter drill bit accessory to the senco drywall gun with amazing results.

Don't want to be nit picky but it's not the clutch that makes it work. The beauty of it is you can use any drill. Thanks for showing people about it.👍
@ronaldjacobs8561
@ronaldjacobs8561 3 жыл бұрын
Your are right that the clutch is not required. But when the clutch is set perfectly for the task, It will automatically prevent driving the screw too deep. Thats super important for the longevity of Drywall, because if the screw goes too deep, it will tear the paper and that reduces the holding power of the screw. Over time, you will get sagging and dimples where the screws are pulling through (you know how houses and buildings subtly move and creep expand and contract).

Try using them with a screwdriver or a drill with mechanical clutch. Use low speed and experiment with the torque setting. Also keep the dimpler bits protected from getting damaged by coming in contact with other tools/metals so that they won't form sharp edges that may damage the paper. Try using something like the dcf601 12v screw driver with these.

I'm pretty sure the "clutch" action in your video was the Philips driver bit "camming out" of the screw (Philips is designed to do that). The buzz was probably the driver skipping over the screw. It doesn't rely on the drill clutch if you have your drill in the highest torque setting as your DeWalt in the video. Maybe on the lower torque settings it would use the clutch. I can only get my drill to "clutch" about half the time at the lower torque settings--the other half the time, the Philips driver bit is skipping out.

@jeffostroff

The drywall screws should stay in place when stuck into one of these DeWalt drywall screw setters. But anyway for production speed sake, we use a Senco drywall gun with strips of 50 screws on a strip that ge tfed into the gun. If you watch our other video on raising the kitchen ceiling here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXuri5KJbspmbrc you'll see us using that gun to quickly screw the drywall sheets up to the kitchen ceiling.

@@jeffostroff .... wasn't using an impact driver. (Maybe I should have read the instructions? LOL!) I was using a Milwaukee M18 Fuel. I was just trying it out since it was a small bathroom job, with only few drywall boards. I normally use my corded DeWalt drywall gun. Own 2 of those. For the screw setter to properly work had to push it hard enough so that the actual "clutch" made an indentation on the paper... I din't like that, so I had to reset every second screw after that. I work alone and time is very valuable, my clients need to see results at the end of the day; .. so I decided I played enough. I reckon it's a helpful go to gizmo if you are in a bind.

Or so that the veiwers can get a better sense of what it would be like to actually be right there watching you fumbling with the screws in real life?? 😲 Woooow! Great investment! ...Hey, Whatever floats your boat. 😉👍 Also, it's called a drywall screw setter, also known as a Dimpler. It's not a "cool DeWalt Drill Tool". These types of "driver bits" or "screw setters" have been around for a while. They're pretty common, and DeWalt is definitely not the only company that has ever manufactured them. There are many different types, with different features for different uses. Not only does this video completely fail to cover any other relativly useful pieces of information pertaining to these bits (as mentioned above), but it also absolutely should not take OVER TEN MINUTES to show how to use this incredibly simple tool accessory! Jeez! Sorry if that comes off a bit harsh (no pun intended). I'm merely pointing out the obvious. Come on now. .... Just sayin'.

@@jeffostroff 😆😅😂🤣😂🤣 Thank you, Sir. That's just the answer I was looking for! I'd argue back, because I do love to do that (especially when someone is as wrong and as defencive as you are), but this is just too good. You see, that's the thing... I'm not trolling. It's really constructive criticism, but you have to see it from the viewers prospective. A video of this caliber is absolutely begging to be criticized. IMO anyway. Just kinda figured you'd be expecting this kind of feed back. I mean, come on. Can you seriously tell me that you believe shooting yourself in 4K, in your home garage in front of that mound of junk behind you, is in any way necessary... In 4K?? Here, I want you to try something. Go to the search bar of KZbin and type in 'Tools Shop product video 4K' just to find videos where others are working with tools, in their workspace, and pick a few similar to your video to watch in 4K, just for a minute or so each. Then come back and play this video. Then go pick a few more similar to yours, in 4K, then come back and watch this one again. Tell me if there are any crazy differences or not. Pay attention to the quality of the product, the quality of the workspace, how clean or messy it might be, how professional the speaker is, the overall production value. What aspects made the use of 4K video useful? Did they use close up shots to show off the vivid colors of the paint job or spectacular detail of whatever perfect project or creative tool they are working with? That's what you would need an upgrade to a 4K Camera for. Do you still think you needed to upgrade your camera... For this? Though, Whatever, Man. Do what you want, It doesn't bother me. Just know that when you have a clickbait title on an overly mediocre video like this (that you're bragging about using 4K video to shoot it with), be expecting there to be a few "trolling" comments, merely pointing out the obvious redicuious-ness of it all. ...once again...
