Why do we never see you pull the bit lock chuck on the impact driver? It is like you do not know that it is there. The short bits will lock in if you use it. It is the collar that is around the bit where you insert it.You pull it away from the motor, the bit slides in a bit and you release the collar and it locks the bit in place.

I have tried every magnetic sleeve I can find for my impact and other drills, these dewalts do break on me sometimes. In my opinion the Makita magnet saddle sleeve is the best. It slides over any 1/4 hex, not proprietary like the DEWALT and to me it feels at least 3 times as magnetic. Oh and they are available separately to buy alone (I don’t think you can buy the dewalt by itself but I might be wrong?) Good video, entertaining you crack me up bro

I always used that specifically for DRYWALL. It allows you to quickly snap on a std drywall screw to hold it magnetic, then you rip it in fast into the drywall with a perfect sink into the wallboard, and the drill just auto-magically pops right off once the screw is counter-sunk just enough. Now it's ready for mudding.

I haven't bought a new bit set in a while, so I hadn't seen the 10x magnetic sleeve, but I like it. I prefer to use the 3" bits because they fit impact ¼" hex quick release chucks, plus adding a quick release hex chuck to a drill speeds up changing bits much faster. Regarding the use of screw holding sleeves in an impact driver, if you take a close look at sleeves, they are aluminum. Repeated use in an impact WILL kill them; beats the aluminum to pieces. The only 1" bit holders I been able to use with impacts without destrying them, are sleeveless, all steel holders. I don't recall ever seeing a steel bit holder with a sleeve, but I have a handful of them, so I'd have to take a look to be certain there are no steel sleeved holders. A suggestion, if you are in a similar situation. When you first started taking about the 10X mag sleeve, you were moving it around so much, I had no idea what you were talking about. This was compounded by me not being familiar with the 10X mag sleeve. I guess you haven't learned a lesson from being in too much of a hurry to learn the purpose of the 10X mag sleeve! LOL Slow down, a half step, and make sure you get a good framed image of whatever you want your viewers to see. (Helpful 'Pro' Tip: Always helps facilitate good communication, if viewers know WHAT you are talking about!) I've had ADD my entire life; I'm an expert on slowing down to facilitate communication. LOL... Thanks for the vid, and the work they take.

Makita makes the best mag screw holder. Dewalt doesn't compare. And I'm a Dewalt fan. But that Makita is just beefier and will run thousands of screws. Yeah, I tried the Dewalt when I got it, but the proof is right there when you're running in screws on a flooring job. The magnet on the Makita is much stronger. It sets the screw head just right. Funny thing is I don't really care for the Makita set, as the Dewalt sets are straight up better. But I'll order the Makita bit holder from Amazon.
