Yes, the exact same lure in the saltwater will catch a very long list of species. Especially with a little Dr Juice or ProCure scent added to it.

White curly tail grub. 6 white jig pre-rigged 1/8oz for $1.98 at Walmart. Its my go-to lure almost every new body of water I fish. Walleye, crappie, smallmouth, white bass. Rivers, dragging it down drop offs, drifting suspended fish, rocks. Dont care if I snag and lose all 6 on rocks that day either! And when the tails get bit off I save the white jig head for minnows finicky walleye.

Me like to use Kalin's grubs because their tails are thinner and have more action at a slower retrieve. Them mufckas catch alot of fish the slower you can fish it.

Croatia. There were attempts to transfer bass, and some survived but they are very, very far and few inbetween. River and lake beds simply aren't the right kind (mostly sand in super fast rivers and super soft mud in lakes) for bass to make beds, combined with the fact that bass would smash a greasy brick and people overfishing them for bait and cat food... they simply never had a chance to survive. Shame since they eat bullheads which are decimating other fish species by eating their eggs. Some waters do hold bass but they are usually private lakes or catch and release only, all under surveillance and permits to fish there can cost tens of euros.

A curly tail grub like that is a killer in the saltwater too. In fact they're too good at times because the "tail biters" hit them too much and destroy them. Pufferfish, croakers, spots, pinfish, lizardfish, small flounder, and a whole bunch more species of small fish hit them a lot. But right now the tail biters are mostly gone and grubs are catching trout and redfish. They're awesome for flounder too but they're mostly offshore now. The Berkley Gulp Swimming Mullet in 3, 4 or 5" is a curly tail on a minnow shaped body. I prefer to use them over natural baits, even live bait. The tail biters do destroy them and they're expensive but it's hard to beat them. Gulp shrimp are good too but those swimming mullet are my favorites. I don't know if they do a freshwater version of them but they should. I don't know what is in Gulp but that stinky juice makes a massive difference over unscented baits and even other baits I put scent on. When tail biters are just too brutal I switch to Z Man or Salt Strong soft plastics because they're tougher, especially Z Man. That stuff is unreal for the durability.

But I'll probably be moving to Central America in March or around then. I'm trying to move back to paradise because I miss living down there. Now my family wants to go so I have an opportunity. But once I'm there you're welcome to come fish for big stuff in the saltwater with me. We're looking for a place with rooms we can rent out, close enough to the water to fish and near some other attractions. Hopefully on the Pacific side. Pacific snook and roosterfish and huge snapper are a lot of fun.

Thank you for this Steve. I live in Fl. Panhandle, while fishing for speckled trout with a redhead white curly tail, I caught two bass. I never thought to actually try for bass with it 😂

I have used the redhead color and it just doesn't seem to catch specks around my way. They will hit white but not redhead white. I'm thinking maybe the red color scares these niggas off or something
