To fill in bubble elevators, put a water source block at the top. Then temporarily replace your soulsand/magma block at the bottom with a solid block. Fill the top of the column up with kelp, and then punch it out. Put the soul sand/magma block back, and the bubble elevator will work!

@berni29055 жыл бұрын
You can easily make *FULLY AUTOMATED* xp farm (only with skeleton spawners): Just place dogs in minecarts on the left and on the right from the slab on which the skeletons land. One small issue with that is that you have to feed the dogs from time to time, because they get damaged from skeletons' armor with _Thorns._ As you can imagine this is pretty rare. I had the farm running for maybe 5-10 hours and the dog lost only 1 hp. A different method of dealing with skeletons staying on top of the spawner is to make another dog sit on a slab in a small hole in a wall. The skeletons will immediately jump down from the spawner. This is just as efficient as ilmango's water method, but its much easier to build and I made it because I didn't know that mobs can spawn inside of open gates. To easily prevent mobs from getting stuck (9:50) you can make them fall in a 3-blocks-high hole and immediately push them out using just 1 _Pressure plate_, 1 _Redstone dust_ and 1 _Sticky piston_ It would look like that (S - sticky piston facing right, R - redstone, W - water source, w - flowing water, X - some block stopping water like sign or open gate, N - soul sand B - other blocks like stone, cobblestone or whatever): B B B W B X W B w w X W B B B W B B B S B W w w B B R P W B w B B B B N B B B That hole ↑ is to prevent water from folwing left.

just a tip, i found you can get rid of the skeletons stuck at the water elevator by digging a 1 deep, 2 long pit at the end of the water stream, with the water flowing into it, leading right up to the soul sand, and making the base of the pit fences. The fences act as a half slab in the water, which will push the mob up on top of the soul sand, and a sign can be used to keep the water in the elevator from pouring back into the stream. Also, at the base of the elevator, break out a hole on the opposite side from the water stream, allowing the bottom source block to flow in the direction of the stream's flow. This will keep the mobs moving into the elevator, preventing them from getting stuck. I'm sure it doesn't effect the efficiency of the farm, but it was something that was bugging me about my farm

@Sickliff4 жыл бұрын
I also noticed this. What you could do is place a pressure plate on top of the spawner. Unlike natural mob spawning, the spawner doesn't seem to have a problem placing mobs on pressure plates. Of course, this also means that water couldn't be used to remove the mobs that spawn on top. A piston pusher could probably be used, but you'd have to either put it on a timer or activate it manually, as a tripwire would be destroyed by the piston.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to use tamed wolves, since they auto-attack skeletons and drop xp orbs, in order to allow the player to run another afk farm like a fishing farm? That's what I did with mine. I use wolves too. It is a more efficient use of the XP as you can mend two tools at a time(one in each hand) and with the wolves doing the killing you don't have to put any damage on your sword(which would use up XP to mend itself if it is mending enchanted).

Can you design a spawner for use on servers with silk spawners I'm struggling on a design for 10 spawners
@darcipeeps225 жыл бұрын
Ender Lord Use the same principles. Water to wash off those that spawn on top and get out of the spawning box quickly so you aren’t preventing more mob spawns
@thunderd79045 жыл бұрын
darcipeeps darcipeeps actually, I think it’d be more complicated than that if you want max rates:if you place all the spawner in a 3x3/5x5/whatever cube then you’re denying spawn attempts for the spawners towards the middle. Even the ones not in the middle will have denied attempts. And then if you place them in columns, the skeletons falling down from the top may make lower spawners say “there are 6 skeletons near me, so I shouldn’t spawn anything.” My best guess to the MOST efficient design would be to have 2-3 spawners in a column and have those drop to a generic water stream and funneled to somewhere. But if you don’t want it to be too wide, then I guess 5-7 spawners per column would work just fine.
@jemlap5 жыл бұрын
Or you could repeat this design 10 times and tunnel it all to one dropping tunnel.
@TheRealWormbo5 жыл бұрын
You can chain the rooms together, spacing the spawners 4 blocks apart (5 for spiders) and putting the same flushing contraption on top of each. Note that you are limited to up to 40 blocks of tripwire, but then again, your spawners need to be a 16 block radius sphere anyway. You'll have to fiddle with the flushing layout a bit, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to eventually get all the mobs into the same kind of funnel as shown in this tutorial.

This still works for 1.20, mostly. but I would like to see an update video on this. You don't really need all that glowstone to disable the spawner anymore. Just one torch in the middle might be enough to disable spawning entirely- since mobs only spawn on 0 light level now. (they used to spawn on anything 7 or under). They also get stuck at the entry point. I might want to try putting sea pickles or another solution like that.
