Kids dont always see that parents can suffer too My dad went through similar to stolas in his marriage, it was only when i was older i understood how much he sacrificed for us, how much pain he went through to protect us Until he couldn't take it anymore and had to get out He took us with him as soon as he was able Thats is why i hate people who sh*t on stolas, they say viv just wants to make us feel sad for him, they dub him as a terrible dad, but they know nothing He's sacrificed most of his life for his duty, others needs, and his daughter, bad parents dont do that He cant be faulted for chasing one slither of happiness in life

A cruel way to answer that would be, “It’s because he loves you so much that he hates your mom just as much.“ Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that it’s Octavia’s fault; what I’m trying to say is that like a good parent, Stolas is trying to give his daughter a life she deserves and that life isn’t lavish but simple and ordinary one; something I would take that over all the riches in the world. Stella has always been someone he wasn't fond of, and their differences in desires are not opposites but incompatible, like matter is with anti/dark matter.

Fun fact about Fizz: That red spot? That's some of what little unscarred skin he has left. The white? All scars, not make up (though he does patch up the worst of it with make up to make his face an even colour). He does sign language? He was super close to a blast so he's likely deaf without his gizmos. Gruff voice? Inhaled smoke, heat, and quite possibly had the blast hit his throat, damaging his vocal cords. Fizz is literally a walking A&E patient. Considering his flesh burned off the bone, it's amazing he even survived.

Stoloas daughter doesn't even know that her mother hired someone to kill her dad. His daughter is so far out of the loop and it's sad. How much information his own daughter doesn't know and how she doesn't know how he was forced into an arranged marriage, that he didn't want. He never at all truly love the person he married, he just did it to have the child that he was order to have. Yet he does very much love his daughter, so he put up with his abusive arranged marriage partner. Now that his daughter is fully grown up, he wants to get away from her and finally be with the persons he truly loves, which is blitz and his beloved daughter. Yet he too of a terrified coward to communicate his true feelings to his daughter and blitz

And it is so hard hitting how common this is in relationships; It's not a healthy relationship to be in, but when one has a kid, some parents want to stick around for the kids' sake... out of love. Though his actions hurt his daughter, it's clear he does not mean for them to. And sadly, Blitzo doesn't understand how close he's gotten with, so despite him getting a divorce, the man who liberated him from the forced relationship may not be there to support him afterwards. But at least he'll always have Olivia.

Ugh I’m hoping my friend can finally see this side of him too because they got to dinner at Ozzy’s and was like man Blitz is a dick, and I wanted to explain but they just need to finish the available episodes. Also on top of the fire causing him to lose family and friends, his dad was a jerk. I can’t imagine this helped with Blitz’s self image from the beginning. So that and then feeling like the cause of a horrific accident no wonder he hasn’t been a good partner or felt like anyone could ever actually care for him. I think making up with Fizz definitely helped him start to heal

Me, too. My husband said something like this to me & it broke me when it was in the show. My husband is that guy who never let his guard down & had trouble opening up to anyone. He has a terrible childhood. It took me years to get him to trust me of letting him know he could tell me things & telling him things about myself to let him know it was okay. We went to his dad's funeral & many of his family there treated him badly based on lies people were telling about him & us... (idc what they say about me) he took me to the side & he said to me, "I just want to go home. Home is safe." He never felt like home was a safe place or like his house was home... he told me he feels like I am his home. So, when Octavia said this & we were watching it, it just made me tear up.

We saw that his like worst fears in the 3-4th clip like fizz, verosika and even being with stolas. Hes scared to be in shackles with him and its so relatable. He wants to be in a relationship but he doesnt want to be controlled like he was with verosika. He was also dressed like a clown hence his PTSD from losing his mom. Not only does Blitzos bad trip go more in depth in his insecurities, but it also has alot of deep meaning to it, realize how the people in his trip all speak in his voice, (Verosika, Moxxie, Striker, and Fizzaroli., Stolas is there too but he doesnt speak in blitzos voice.) I feel like something all these people have common is that they all have something he is jealous of. Verosika, being successful, and being liked by everyone, Moxxie having a loving and stable relationship, Striker having power, and being independent, Stolas having a good status, and seemlingly immortal physically and emotionally (atleast in blitz's eyes), and Fizzaroli being able to pursue in his circus performer dream, unlike Blitzo. And this this only a small part of his drug trip, there is alot more i can go into depth into but im too lazy. Edit: I forgot Stolases part. Oops.

As a self proclaimed Christian I can say that it’s really good storytelling when you can get me to feel “Sympathy for the Devil” (pun intended) from a cartoon show with crude humor. Just Look My Way brought me to tears 😭; I haven’t felt this way about fallen angels since reading Paradise Lost by John Milton, LOL 😂.

Actually, Stolas Sings is the song Owl In a Cage. In another hand, Stolas Speaks is instrumental version, wich is the melody that we usually hear when Stolas makes his aperences. A magical and beautifull piece if I may say, I’m heard that song so many times.. it’s so calming, I’ve fallen as sleep as I hear it. As a victim of childhood domestic abuse by my dad, witnessing all my mother went through and watching HB, they did so damn well portraying the aftermath of it and the PTSD that follows. I really feel seen honestly, watching how good the body language of the characters is, how well Vivienne did for casting everybody. The emotions they play in the tones of their voice adds so much power to them its unreal. I never expected myself to relate so much to an Owl Princess, an Ex-Mob Heir, and a Demon robo Clown.

Moments like these are why I consider this to be amongst the top of many other great adult animated shows, like Arcane, Invincible, Harley Quinn, and Blue Eye Samurai for example. They are just truly captivating in the amount of care they have for the emotional moments as well as towards the climatic action moments as well, and sometimes they combine both at the same time.
