It's funny to me that some people actually say that Blitzø doesn't love stolas. Like, have we watched the same show??? They both love eachother, but their emotions and relationship is so complicated. Thats why this is lowkey the most interesting relationship I've ever witnessed in a show like this. No other couples come CLOSE to what they have, what they went trough and how much they need eachother. Never got that impression. People's voices always sound a bit different in tone when they sing as opposed to when they're just talking. If you watch interviews with vocalists such as the likes of John Davis (Korn) you can tell how different one's talking voice and singing voice really are.

Stolas also calls out that the way he treated blitz at first kinda forced a give and take relationship which ruined a chance of growth until the asmodean crystal came into this, because once given to blitzo it would remove the point of blitzo needing Stolas. He's trying to get Blitzo to see things from his perspective and get him to understand that he is always there for him no matter what. Honestly just love the song in general and seeing it animated and seeing it connected to the actual story is just wondrous. Feel so bad for Stolas and hoping things go well. He's throwing away a toxic connection on the hope that the connection can remain in a more positive way, but it's possible that the other side isn't ready for it quite yet and may spurn it completely. Stolas will lay his heart bare for Blitzo but it's their choice at the end and they may not be ready to make themselves vulnerable in the same way.

absolutely such an amazing song and music video. With stolas being in charge of prophesy i also cant help but hope that the visuals in this music video also foreshadow what will happen in their relationship. Stolas letting go of Blitz completely only to be unable to bare it and come running back, only to get so very close to getting there before it all falls apart again. But perhaps Blitz will reach out of that moon and grab stolas' arm before he falls into that water.

I think this song insinuates Stolas fear to give Blitzø the Gem, because the only reason in his mind that Blitzø ever needs him is for the book. And if Blitzø has another way to access the human world without his grimore then Stolas would never see Blitzø again, but Stolas also wants to set him free because he can see how unhappy Blitzø is.
