I have the s8 ultra, and this one is going to be next.... while family watches the big screen.... me in my chair with headphone and my big personal tv....and with dex the possibility to multitask..... great tablet! If you use something like this allmost every day.... the price is more than worth it

I have this too. Use it for consuming a lot of content and else work when I'm giving it the "digital nomad" I think you'll need a couple of decent use cases to justify paying those prices. Although still much better VFM than iPad pro

My Tab S8 Ultra is still amazing! It still has a great screen and battery life is still good. I just consume media on it so no need for more power, 8 Gen 1 is still doing just fine :)

It doesn’t seem as niche as you think. I heard a lot about this use case. You don’t need all the power for this though. I know there is a 13.3 inch Boox e-ink tablet specifically for this niche, but that’s also expensive. Wouldn’t a cheaper s8 ultra be the better device? Screen tech is the same, and the snap dragon 8gen 1 surely is still overkill.

I have a 4 year old ipad pro that I have maybe used 3 times in the last 2 weeks, just because I was out of office and I wanted a lighter device instead of my thinkpad. I can do the same with my mobile phone, but it's just more comfortable when I need to type out a long email or some report with a keyboard and touchpad.

Very fast review, well done! Maybe you do some review on the screen glare/reflections performance between Tab S9 ULTRA and Tab s10 ULTRA which is very relevant for note taking scenarios? I've read that Tab S10 Ultra has some coating to reduce glare, not sure what this means though when compared with S9 Ultra; becasue like always, it is about context and relevance when one compares. I use S9 plus for note taking. I am always disturbed by the reflections of the ceiling lights ... in any room I go, becasue this is how indoors environment usually looks like ... and when you write, you always keep the tablet pointing to the ceiling in a room where you cannot control the lightning most of the time (meeting rooms, shared spaces, classrooms). For designer the good camera on the back is a great asset... snap a scene, object or interior and immediately do a high quality trace of sketch design over the top.. as an architect been using this capability sind the first Samsunng Note 12.1 back in 2013... using an Tab S4 for the last 5 years,,, never leaves my side,,, ( my wife calls it Sammy.. my mistress) so damn reliable .. I wish it would breakdown so I could justify an S10... sigh... PS definitely get the sim card versions...

I had the Tab S9 Ultra and still would but I was lied to about a job offer that at the time caused me to be an adult and sacrifice my favorite all time tablet and trade it in at besr buy for a new laptop. So i did so and only to find out after I traded it in that the job ended up being as made up as the companny who lied having a severe lack of worth. I wished i still had it. I miss it. It was my literal TV. I have regular TVs but i havent turned either of them on in two years. I just watch youtube on a larger screen tablet 24/7. I wonder what Samsung has in mnd not using a Snapdragon in the S10 Ultra. They no doubt have a endgame they are going after. Great review

Still rocking my S8 Ultra. No issues with productivity and HDR content watching (which is really what most do with their tablets anyway). The second screen works just as well with my Edge 4. AI is overrated. I don't see a reason to upgrade at such a premium price. I'll wait for some real innovations.

I have the s9 one. The s10 is exactly the same tablet apart from the cpu. Same chassis. Same wifi bluetooth. Same screen. Same battery. Same speakers. Same stylus. The only difference is the cpu (snap dragon 8 gen 2 vs dimensity 9300+) , the colour options, and the s10 has a slightly better anti reflection coating on the screen, which makes it better outdoors but worse indoors (can cause coloured hues to the screen under certain lights indoors). They basically re-released pretty much exactly the same tablet. With a price hike.

The Tab S9 10" was the maximum I found convenient to carry around at home or elsewhere. For larger needs I have a laptop and for real productive work a PC. And of course for gaming or watching videos I have my TV. I hope Samsung will continue making 10" tablets with amoled screens. Maybe cheaper. Because frankly, I didn't even need the power of my S9. I am also nostalgic of the lightness of their first oled tablets. Come on Samsung it's just tablets. What you are doing now is Android laptops! For that price I can get two decent tablets with oled screens, smaller hence more convenient. Or a decent laptop and a new smartphone, with a camera that will be actually usable. Or save the money and go to the restaurant multiple times. Or buy anything useful for the family...

I was excited to finally see a SIM on the flagship ultra edition of the Galaxy Tab. Unfortunately, I can't find that for sale. Maybe it is a regional thing, maybe a review sample thing, or maybe they simply messed up in assembly and stuffed the wrong SD card holder in there. For whatever reason, I only see mobile data as an option on the S10+ 256 GB model. Bummer.

@ahanna0912 weight is not a issue for me , I am a pretty strong guy , mainly wanted to know if the performance and features would be worth it , As a cord cutter all i pay for is my internet package and a few apks , like real debrid , iptv , vpn and ooma .my whole home is conected and my tab is like my remote . Or should I wait for a larger jump in technology. And for my present tab s7 I will wall mount , as a secondary whole home controller for my Savant system .
