A tip for the pineapple slicer: Use it inside a bowl because juice goes everywhere! Also, try to keep it centered over the core the entire time. The first time I used it it went in crooked about half way down & my slices had part of the chewy core on them. 😂😁

I love your videos and positive attitude. My hubby and I raised 7 kiddos who are all rocking 30 or older lol. I hope u and your family are doing well. I have really missed you and your large family cooking videos. I still cook a lot (wish u were around when I was raising 7 plus kiddos (foster parents). Now I feed 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. I remember how excited we would get as kiddos when our baby chicks would come! I have 5 brothers and we would "babysit" them for their first week and name each one. We had some light Brahmas in our 1st flock almost 3 years ago. We kept 1 and sold the rest at 2 yrs old. The one we kept is the sweetest chicken who gives us the most wrinkliest eggs now. Her name is Butter and my kids walk right up to her in the yard and pick her up and carry her around. Yesterday my son put her in the truck so she could go to Tractor Supply w/us (she didn't actually go tho). Good chickens!!!

I had chickens in the past. I loved them. They would free range around the house during the day and in their coop at night. One was so sweet that when I sat on the porch she would fly to my lap. She would follow me everywhere. But one day my husband brought home a rooster. He was so mean and would attack us all the time. He was gone in a hurry.

Love your grocery hauls! Hoping to see some household hauls soon. I'm mama to 6 which have now become 11..........(3 son in laws and 2 grands) and now we are buying for big family dinners, cookouts, and such! My grocery hauls and household hauls are pretty much combined these days just to save time! I do find myself buying lots more household products as well! Its been a blessing to add new family members, but more difficult to stretch our budget! Do you stick with name brand household products or store brands? Dish soaps, laundry products and such can add up $$$$$ quickly, which brands do you prefer? God bless!

Since you are the food queen 2 fruit pick questions. 1st how do you find is the best way to pick your pineapple and then when do you know it's ripe? 2nd Also how do you pick your watermelons to know that they are ripe and ready to be cut cuz I have bought many of that I cut into and they are terrible?

You should try skirt steak. It’s often pretty cheap and as long as you marinate it and cook it hot and fast (like on the grill) it’s really good. It has good beefy flavor. I use the Pioneer Woman’s beef fajita recipe marinade and grilling instructions and it turns out great every time. Just make sure you slice it against the grain so it doesn’t come out chewy. And you really do need the rest period. But it actually makes a fantastic steak fajita salad. The only thing about it is it isn’t a cut that’s super popular (which makes it cheap) so it can sometimes be hard to find. Latino butchers almost always carry it though and many stores have it but label it “fajita steak” or “steak for carne asada”. And I’ve seen it at Aldi. It’s super thin and long kind of like flank steak but thinner.

I saw a watermelon cutter. I don’t think at Aldo’s yet. Price varies depending on where you get it. Still have to get it. Making slicking watermelon easier. This slices water melon all at once.
