My uncle had some jack Dempsey that lived with arrow's as well as green pikes 😉 it's all on the fish to be honest cause he put in a blue tilapia and that bad boy was hitting everyone lol

Yeah my uncle had some and breed for awhile he would put a cover and netting over it with a layer of bubble wrap and he never lost another one and swore by it till his last day 😆

So glad you did go for it!! My first thought was you could go one of two ways. You've already got two very light-colored fish, so you could make that a theme, with all albino or white/cream fish, and give the tank some scaping to show off the light colors. OR you could go red, white, and blue in honor of your service, which I think would be super cool.

Great choices, but please be careful arowanas are known to jump out of aquariums so weigh down the lid. Love the colours of the oscar!! Maybe you could add a small bass?

Anthony - arowana are jumpers and can break thin glass lids - id put something with some weight on it to prevent it. Good luck with him.

I'm setting up a 150 just like yours. I'm getting 1 arowana for top swimmer, peacock bass for mid range, tiger shovel nose for bottom, and might get a Florida Gar just for the he'll of it! I also have a 350 for everything when they out grow the 150.
