I've been working at Starbucks for a year and a half. Tips are divided depending on your hours and how many days you work. This drink's price is the equivalent of 10 people in line. It's just annoying and definitely hogged the espresso machine.

This isn't "a" drink - it's more like 17 individual drinks you had them make at the same time and pour into one (too small) container. $93 / 17 drinks = ~ $5.50 a drink. Pretty standard price for a latte or frap.

ok but you don't get diabetes from drinking a shit ton of sugar in a single day. Your pancreas will produce more insulin to get glucose into your cells but if you have that much sugar it'll take over and the sugar will build up in your blood. might help to add being obese will make your chances to getting diabetes higher because your tissue is so fat it rejects the insulin. So i think if that guy drank a cup of that coffee he'll be fine. you still wont get diabetes by drinking it in one sitting
