As you play (especially in standard) you'll start to understand what plays to make + what cards to watch out for, and understand what's possible/likely on each opponent's turn. It's just intentional practice and observation. You'll improve a lot even if you can't see it.

@@Kuryux I switched up his first version into a mostly Boros(slightly Naya) form that's a lot more consistent with looting threats and then reanimating them/Chaos transformations turn 4/5/6. A big improvement to these decks is a bunch of Lay Down Arms to keep the board clear before you have what you need

It works pretty well in Naya, my tech has been using Static Net which makes a power stone token. Being in white gives you wedding announcement for a token maker as well

This is very similar to the list I've been playing lately, it's had some decent enough results for me. I have a couple more one-ofs in my deck though to be able to be searched up with the Cruelty and my Dig Up which I also have in the deck (and one Arcane Bombardment too)

Id love to see Chaotic Transformation with Hinata. It’s potentially playable at 1 red mana… question is > will it be competitive and hold up until the turn when you have down at least Hinata and something else and you can play it?

Big problem with Hinata is that you will be running a creature if you use it. If you revolve your strategy around Hinata you probably run 4, but if you then use Chaotic you probably just get another Hinata which dies due to the legend rule. If you can't use chaotic to get a titan you miss out on half of the value of it, as among artifacts, enchantments planeswalkers and lands there isn't that much room for shenanigans beyond portal, because every type except for artifact and creature is not able to be 100% consistent with what they hit.

​@@zaifir8119 I'm literally playing it with Hinata - the idea popped up to my mind just today (without even seeing any decks with the Transformation beforehand), I made just one version of it and it already seems to be doing very well in Platinum. I'm running a lot of Jeskai digging spells to get what I want in, I also have Wedding Announcements and Kiki-Jiki on turn 3 to start producing the tokens. Then turn 4 is usually a Big Score if I get a nice draw, which exactly sets up either Hinata + Chaotic Transformation, or just a simple Transformation on turn 5. For creatures, I have Hinata, Kairi, Atsushi and Jin-Gitaxias (single or double copies, not more). Surprise Jin was supposed to be a meme, but it's actually good value in this deck. Kairi is also a game changer, since he's basically a card draw every time it dies and comes back with the Portal. I only play Portal as an artifact. For enchantments, I have 1x One with the Multiverse, so I can either hit another Announcement/Kiki-Jiki (and lose no value) or the big one-off if I'm lucky. Hope this gives you some ideas. It's actually doing the job on the first day I'm experimenting with it.

What does he offer over Sheoldred, even in that type of deck - that makes him better for 4? Boring but true.

​@@damo9961 That particular deck needs ramp (which Soul of Windgrace offers) way more than it needs Sheoldred. It wins by resolving 5 to 7 mana spells as quickly as possible. If you want Sheoldred, you're better off reanimating one of the copies in your opponents deck than running one in your own.

Hi CGB, I know you've built your brand as "the 1 in best of one" but sometimes its hard for me to see best of 1's as a well-balanced game due to the nature of the land-smoothing mechanic, as well as the prevalence of highly aggressive strategies that rely on winning coin-flips to go first & lack of strategic side-boarding. That being said, have you ever considered getting into the traditional best of 3 standard?
