So I see a lot of the better and more experienced players do this, but how do you turn your character around so fast and so often when in neutral or approaching without slowing down from hard turns? Does it involve guarding or can it also be done when power stanceing/one handing?

you can stop the pivot animation by blocking, crouching, or 'handy tech,' which is either swapping from L or R weapon 1 -> weapon 2 with the dpad on controller or two handing any weapon. There might be other animations that can override the pivot animation, but the gist of it is that if you are moving while animating, the pivot animation won't trigger edit: you can use greases while running, those work too. and 'un-twohanding' works if that isn't intuitive search for "How to Become Movement DEMON | Aynii's Handbook Guide on Movement & Blending | er pvp" if this link doesn't work: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epy5qXebnM9kfq8

Tye is a hacker, a well known hacker. He removes degrees out of his characters turn so he can turn quicker, he did this against the best player in Elden Ring TheRealShiruken and this is the only way he was ever able to beat him.
