About 6 months ago I visited a PGA Superstore. They were closing out 2021 Wilson Staff Model CB irons. I hit a few and liked them a lot. That evening I saw your review of these same clubs. I am a certified club fitter, so I went back to the PGA Superstore and detailed my specs. I then purchased a lightly used (they were new)set in my specs from 2nd Swing. I absolutely love these clubs. They are traditionally lifted, so I had the lofts adjusted -1 degree. Also. I ordered them with Aerotech 90g graphite shafts. This is my first set of Wilson irons. At 72 years old they may be my last. My hcp index is 6.5, and I still play course yardages between 6,000 and 6,600. Great clubs!

Michael, I'm 59 and a 9 handicap. Switched a couple of years ago from T200's to the D9 Forged w/ graphite shafts. I couldn't be happier. I have a rather slow swing speed, and I absolutely love the Wilson irons. I find the sweet spot is a bit larger, and the club face is extremely soft feeling. Have to believe the Dynapower is close, if not more refined that the D9, but I love my decision going to Wilson's. Love your content. Thanks!

I picked up a set of the V6s used for ridiculously cheap and fell in love with the feel. I upgraded to the 2021 CBs when they came out and learned a harsh lesson in the long irons. I'm now in a split set of the Dynapwr Forged and CBs and couldn't be happier with the mix of performance, feel, and forgiveness.

Back in late June of this year I went in to get fitted for new irons. Was playing AP2 714's. I wanted the T200's. Hit them well. The fitter brought a 7 iron and said do not look but just to hit. First few shots I was amazed. I didnt say a word and the fitter didnt say one word. I hit a few more. I said I rather have these and then I looked....Wilson Dynapwr Forged. With the money I saved I purchased a set of Wilson Forged Wedges. Could not be any happier.

Thanks Michael. I'm of an age when Wilson were the go to iron for most top pro's. I bought a Wilson driver after a fitting alongside TM, Ping and Callaway. The Wilson delivered better spin, nicer sound and had the same yardages but was £150 cheaper! I'm being fitted this week for a mixed set of Dynapwr/CB's. I've been a committed Mizuno player for the last 30 years but the price differential simply doesn't stack up - Wilson is doing a brilliant job of retaking the market without blowing £millions on sponsorship.

I prefer the aethetics of the previous model - the D9 Forged, and have a 4i and 5i in the bag. I got my hands on a demo model CB and blade from the 2021 line to test at home and on course and fell in love with them. So, now, I play a blended set of the 2024 blades and CBs, with the D9 5i and 4i. Wilson have always 'nailed' it with their irons and now they are getting a bit more YT and social media attention, perhaps they'll make a real 'comeback'. I'd love to see some non-contracted Tour players give them a go.

Decided to go with the CB forged over these, felt like the stopping power with more spin was what I needed over distance. I carry a 7 around 145/150 normally.

The most underrated brand in golf, good looking, feel, and the price is sensible, tried them last week will be going for them, I’m a senior 18 handicapper and found them very forgiving and forme the easiest most forgiving club in the players distance category and I’m including the P790 and i530 both great irons, but at the price point you really should be trying these irons.

Tried these, my fitting was poor, as the clubs looked great, but i found these clunky. I used Wilson in the 80’s, and loved them, so wanted these to work, but couldn’t get on with them. I think it was the shaft that the fitter kept putting me in; i will try another fitter. He kept putting me in Dynamic Gold S300 shafts, i currently play stiff carbon shafts as my swing speed isn’t what it was as age 67. My 7 iron speed is 88, driver 105-110 dependent on day, so not slow, but S300? Not sure that’s right.

I tried these against the P790s when i went for a fitting and chose these, so easy to hit with a bit of forgiveness, not as soft a feel as my old irons (Callaway Apex 21s) but more consistent in distance and dispersion. No 4 iron though as I'm left handed not sure why?

I don't need new irons I don't think. Last time I tried some they didn't perform any different than my TM SIM Max. However, I really like the Wilson and if I do get some I want to try these and the regular, unforged version. I really like the polished look. The brushed thing is way too over done.

I like Wilsons. Wilson doesn't have the sex appeal of a Brad Pitt or George Clooney. It's the Robert Redford of golf clubs. A little more marketing muscle and placing this in the hands of Scottie, Xander or Rory and for sure these will fly off the shelves. Like Redford, he'll produce a film or star in it every now and then and it seems to be nostalgic and will come out with a blockbuster.

Great Irons..... Great. Customer service is really bad. Ordered a custom set of these on June 12th, got the receipt and card charged the next day. Haven't heard a thing since. Tried calling them, only to get a foreign call center that was absolutely no help. Messaged them on their site and after 6 days got a reply that they received my message but nothing about the content..... and still have not gotten a response. Their site has had a progress of my order of "customization in progress" for 3 weeks.

They really are great clubs but awful customer service. The club and the hit itself is amazing, but I did hit a ball and the corner of my 9 iron had a significant chip on the toe rendering it unusable. They requested pictures and then stopped communicating.

@@brianschultz7320 I thought about that as well. I use midsized grips with an extra wrap, have the lie angle 1-2 deg. flat (depending on the manufacture) and 1/2 inch longer shaft. I've grown tired of purchasing a club and immediately replacing the grip and dealing with a lie and length that's not ideal for me. I would have got the D9 forged only for the power slots at the bottom. The rubber loosen over time on some of the clubs, it doesn't impact the performance once it's cleaned out, but it's a bitch to clean. I had the D7 irons for 5 years before I went for I recently went for Callaway Apex 21 as I wanted tighter dispersion. I was hitting an 8 iron 135 to 180 and I needed it tighter, where my new apex 8 irons goes better 135 to 150 depending on strike. I love Wilson however!! Only for the power slots they would have been in my bag.
