It was more like because America did not respect the Europe players that much. While in America they focus only a lot in athletic ability and they see the athletic ability of one player as the most important attribute of said player. Most europe players can't reach the level of american players when it comes to athletic prowess.

Like the saying goes.. A dead clock is right twice a day. That's Ryan Hollins 😂
@ethangetz8233 жыл бұрын
Good on ryan hollins for being right, but I think the main reason why he didn't get the credit he deserved is because they dont pay as much attention to anything outside of college basketball. People probably pushed him to the side thinking he'd be risky when in reality he was the most sure thing prospect of the decade. He perfectly fits the way the game is played, and showed he could thrive in the second best league in the world. A lot of times younger guys dont get many minutes in the euroleague, and a lot of times the guys entering the nba from Europe didnt have big numbers. Luka ran the show for one of the best teams in Europe since he was 16 or 17, that is unbelievably rare. If he did the equivalent of that as an American nobody would have thought twice about drafting anybody else number 1, he genuinely should've had more notoriety than zion. It shocks me to an extent that vlade passed him up considering he knows how difficult the euroleague is, but than I realize it's Vlade Divac and I'm not surprised.

Agree 100% with you. A lot has to do with the fact that Ryan played some time in Europe and knows how hard is to put those numbers (less playing time, more defense under the basket etc.). Others were just focusing on the numbers and didn’t understand the whole story.

I don't consider Skip being right on the GS prediction. He looked at a 60-6 team and said I guarantee they don't do worse than 13-3 to close the season? Wowweee what a soothsayer 🤣

Anyone who said Luka is overrated just doesn't watch basketball, specifically Euroleague. That's a grown man right there. He came in the NBA with a euroleague finals mvp and eurobasket.

His defense though is also ''true European'' just like Davis Bertan's.

Give him a Ryan Hollins a second chance somewhere. He gives either a meme or a spot on take so it's a win-win for everyone. Just do it.

That Luka take was the most accurate shit I have ever seen from a prediction I never seen Stephen A smith or any of the big analyst make a prediction that great minus lebron but everyone knew he was going to be great so it wasn’t that difficult of a take
@markomarkovic57293 жыл бұрын
Everyone who watched Luka in Europe knew he was going to be great and they should listened Ryan Hollins who actually watched him every week and played against him. Funny thing though, there's one idiot from Serbia who played with Ayton on Arizona and said something like "Yeah, Luka is fine, but trust me, Ayton is something special and the next big thing in basketball".😂

Okc's record got better in 12-13 without Harden. It came out recently when Harden was hitting up the clubs to get traded out of Houston that he was more concerned during the 2012 finals about hitting the Miami clubs than he was on the game and it showed in his play. Pat Bev took out Westbrook's knee that next playoffs.

I love this vid cuz these analysts take so much heat when they’re wrong and it impossible for them not to be wrong yet they get no love when they get things right. These guys know what they’re talking about just cuz they get stuff wrong too doesn’t take away from that. We couldn’t possibly predict everything either
