That is correct. The coach of my son’s team is horrible. Actually expects the players to be poor sports and not be in control of their emotions because that’s the way he is. Whole family is! All 3 kids. Even the wife! Absolutely horrible, horrendous people.

Absolutely Disturbing Scenes in todays "Sport". When I played Baseball, Football and Track we always gave our Opponent the respect they deserved. This display have A LOT to do with there upbringing. Parents today have no care for Kids. I played all 3 sports starting in Late 70s until up until 1988. We were taught to play hard, But have Fun even in defeat. Kids Today wouldn't last 12 hours in my time... Neither would the Parents!

Guess it is more of a commentary of parents than the kids. Never saw that level of bad sportsmanship when I played from '67 to '79. Also remember in high school baseball, the better player doesn't make the roster. It is the rich parents child with a lot less skills that does. Experienced that in 9th grade. Equal batting, but I was way above in fielding and arm strength. 3rd base.

Sadly, today people do not know how to celebrate with class nor show good sportsmanship. They see this type of behavior in the pros. Many coaches and parents allow this because in their eyes it's about enjoying the moment. That's why the pros permit it. The fans get in to it. Our society has slowly deteriorated to where it's all about SELF adulation, SELF promotion, SELF awareness, SELFIES. Are we really surprised??
