Having driven all MQB-A0-IN-based cars for a good time, I have realised that this time their 1.5l and 1.0l engines are very fuel efficient. So, if you want efficiency in a long run, drive sedately for first 2100 kms so that the engine is conditioned accordingly. It is called Break-in Period. Treat it like a baby when you buy a new car.

VW ki cars me direct injection aata hai and iske injectors theek rkhna bhot matter krta hai after 50k kms injectors khrab ho jaate hai kyuki if a small engine is producing more power than a usual displacement engine and performance then there are chances of weae and tear more.....and most of the time german car owners don't drive slow.....and the cost of injectors are hell expensive

The major reason is on fuel injector failure in VW car is especially low content of sulphur in the fuel/petrol. To avoid these issues use petrol/ diesel additives. This might increase the fuel cost but will make fuel injectors better , mileage better and better pickup.

My nearly 7 year old Polo was affected by the Chennai floods.Nearly 5 months after putting it in Garage I’m yet to get it.Its generated a bill of 5.09 lakhs of which insurance will cover 50 percent.There have not been any engine repairs.My only advice to anyone buying a VW is be aware of what you are getting yourself into.Its a good car as long as its working fine.Major repairs can break the bank.

I don't know why do they cheapen out on things that have been provided. At least what's offered has to be perfect. Example, noisy power window motor, below average leather seats, cheap roofliner, dummy button on the steering, half baked instrument cluster, driver armrest without a latch(it just sits down), cheap AC vents etc
