@ABDULLAH MH I dread to think what the casualty rate must be like. I've always used the proper PPE even when doing small jobs at home. One time I was tidying up some chisels on a grinder and got disturbed half way through. When I went back to the job I forgot to pull my safety glasses back down off the top of my head and within seconds had a metal splinter buried in the iris of one of my eyes. I spent the next several hours in hospital having it dug out with a hypodermic needle. The metal was hot when it hit me and melted into the surface of my eye a millimeter or so. That's just a minor accident at home with a power tool and a momentary lapse of concentration. Heavy industry like that needs proper PPE and even then horrible accidents can happen. I wouldn't take the place of one of these guys for a work shift if you promised me I could have have a fortune equal to that of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet all together, as well as guaranteeing that I would die aged 155 in a brothel with 4 premium sexbots and a vat of custard with a free bar.

@ABDULLAH MH I am old school, with working on top of step ladder all day was normal with no problems! I always knew where the steps were and balance while working. Step ladders now a days are rated for the weight but not made very well. People don't understand these things so get into problems! Made for weight while not designed properly is not a good idea. I have been analyzing things ALL of MY LIfe! As it is part of my handy cap! Remove all safety labels and let Darwin Win!

This was very interesting.... have seen rebar made in highly automated plants before. Everything was going by so fast it was hard to tell what was happening. This small plant uses lots of touch labor. It's easy to see all the steps needed to make rebar. I worked in a foundry years ago. It was hot, heavy, and dangerous work. Back then we didn't have many safety requirements. Today in America there are many safety requirements. White hot Steel flying around in glowing lassos looks spectacular, but any slight issue can cause it to fly all around factory... have seen it myself.

It may also explain why buildings crumble all the time in those countries after the first earthquake, or just after a bit of time. You sometimes near horror stories with buildings collapsing on hundreds of people and whatnot. You dont use rebar for structural capacity. It just holds concrete together and keeps it from cracking. The voids in the ingots are hot rolled out while white hot, there is no voids in the rebar, as seen in the finished stack. When you are smelting crap recylcleds together, you expect pits and voids in the first pour. They are just cleaning it up in the first ingot, and rolling it hot from then on to refine it..

That might be called rebar, but would never pass in the west. Great video to watch.
@greyone308
@greyone308 Жыл бұрын
Pass what? Rebar world wide is the conglomeration of recycled iron and steel. Never seen a grade of it, just a size. Its all mild, never heard of a hardenable rebar. It would have to be .6 carbon to be hardenable. Its mild steel, its rebar. You bury it in concrete, thats it.
@MrAllan9
@MrAllan9 Жыл бұрын
@@greyone308 Sorry, there are quite a few different rebar for different applications. The rebar in that video is a lower mild steel version and would never be used in bridges or large buildings. Ductile strength is different in steel rebar compared to mild steel ones, you can find that on you tube.

Which is the definition of mild steel. None if it is ever the same for rebar, all of it is recycled and comes in under .6 carbon.

I live i Arizona , at the border , with Mexico,, at the port of entry in Nogalas, AZ, a truck was coming through from a plant in Mexico that makes rebar, a big load, it was stopped because the rebar was Radioactive , A dentist in Tucson paid a company to dispose of an old, non-working Xray machine, BUT instead, the company took the money and sold it for scrap metal to get rid of it, the machine ended up sold to a rebar company in Mexico with other scrap metal, No one removed the radioactive elements from the machine ! they dont know if any other trucks got through with radioactive rods that were sold in the US !!!
