I had a rough childhood. Dirt poor, oldest of 5 kids. Money was basically stretched thin already. The 1st one.. the Sonic commercial.. truly is the one I remember having dreams about for months. I wanted that game, and system soooo much. But even as young as I was then..(8 or 9ish.. possibly younger) I just knew I wouldn't get it for Christmas. So I think one night during an episode of Jeopardy or something, that commercial came on. And boy did I light up. Apparently the reaction I gave, impacted my mom so much, that Christmas..there it sat. Turned on. Waiting for me. Christmas of 91 was pretty epic. Sorry for the book!

It wasn't this Sonic commercial but the first time I noticed the Genesis was a sonic commercial and literally my friend and I were both totally geeked out to the point of near tears! But neither of us could afford it... Yet at age 11 i begged so many times my dad said he'd make me a deal and he let me help him pull wire and fetch tools in a house he was wiring for several days and paid me $160 so i could go get it!

Well, more recently, the PlayStation commercials with Kevin Butler. Also, the PSP commercials with Marcus and the Life is Play, or whatever the slogan was, with all the PS characters in the same bar. Maybe I'm too old to remember some of the classics, but those commercials really stand out. Also, the Crash Bandicoot commercials where he would stand outside Nintendo HQ with the megaphone yelling "Hey, plumber boy!"
