This is the final video for The Journey portion of P3FES! I want it to be known that the Nyx fight took 10 years off of my life span from the stress, and an additional 10 years going back to edit it. What a ride this story has been and it's definitely left a very impactful mark on my brain. Really beautiful experience that I hope comes across well in these highlight videos! Enjoy!

The Akinari scene for years was left mysterious, because he disappeared, i asked myself did makoto imagine it, did he never reach the answer Until a year or two later, a scene with kanji, has the kid ask to make a stuffed animal , a pink alligator and asks kanji if he knows about it. And kanji replies, of course i know it everyone knows that story book, I stop playing p4 and cried for days, before i picked it up and beat it. Akinari touched the heart of millions of people and he didn't know it. It even forshadowed makoto and his own eternal sleep and the lives they were both going to save. People ask me why i play this game every three months, why its my favorite game of all time. It's because it's become somthing like a second bible. An instuction book to live my life to the fullest, Since playing it i lost a friend, went through my parents divorce, lost someone to a gun, faced rejection. And time and time again i related to the characters who also went through it. And each time i go through the game i get a new experience from it. A brand new journey if you will. People chalk it up to it being overly edgy or depressing, and yes it is, but it's a game that follows you through life. And oddly conforts me through those difficult times. A game that changes with you as you change yourself and your own ideals. It's a game of hope that teaches you to share and receive what little light you have even in your darkest times. When My friends come to me for advice through hard times they often tell me i'm blunt and honest and wise. That i have my shit together, i don't i just renew the humble lessons i learn playing this game that is so true to life. A game That hits a little to close to home. Is it the perfect game? No, it has it's flaws, but it's perfect for me and thats all that matters. It means the world to me that you played this game Crystal and i look foward to your journey in other game series too. Thank you.

That's probably one of my favourite examples of visual story telling ever. Using HP for attacks is so common in persona games that you don't question it when you see Great Seal but you still know exactly what it implies. The first time I saw it I had to stop playing for a minute and just think.

This. People always chalk it up as bad when they never changed the setting to anything than "Act Freely". In fact, I love their AI better than any other AI from the other Persona series, including P3P (IDK why but P3P AI is so underwhelming if compared to their P3FES counterpart)

​@@hemera5518I know this reply is late but the reason you probably dislike using the tactics in p3p is because there are less tactics. The ones that are missing are Knockdown Attack Fallen Assign Target Same Target & Standby. Btw because of the exclusion of that last one NYX is a lot harder with out the use of direct commands so the game is heavily encouraging you to use direct commands during that fight at least.

Akinari’s social link (at least personally) is one of my favorite from the entire series. I cried so much during the ending sections but also felt at peace with what had transpired and been said to me. I'm a little jealous, tbh. In my playthrough, I wound up with just Mitsuru's S.Link left to do in the final months, so I spent all my dead days in Tartarus. I ended up with every character at max level and multiple copies of several ultimate weapons and I *still* had days to spare. Nyx kinda just ate it hard.

So there once was this magazine where some things were reaveled (like they are by the arcana) and there is a dialouge between aegis and ikutsuki were it is revealed (this thing that the arcana are the means to do) that nyx used to basically be a planet that rammed into earth locking nyxs soul to the young life on earth and sealing her body into the moon. Her soul caused the young life to have thoughts of wanting to die. To combat that, life created the collectiv unconcious, wich led to the development of shadows, makikg nyx the mother of all shadows. Also means that shes kinda somewhat responable for everything from these eyeballs with tounges to yaldaboath. The ending of the dialogue said: Ikutsuki: so its somewhat thanks to nyx that i can make my great jokes Aegis: how utterly unforgiving by nyx

Yeah the way the calendar life-sim system is not only a fun gameplay quirk but also intrinsically tied to the themes of the game and the story and the ending is what makes this the best modern Persona game, in my opinion. 4 and 5 use the same core gameplay loop and I love those games dearly, but you can tell the calendar system was organically designed for the themes and story of 3 and not quite so for 4 and 5. Which is why Persona 3 Reload has the potential to be the best Persona game . . . period. So excited!

There was so much emotion in the aftermath I couldn't handle it. Still my favorite final boss battle to date. I don't know if it's because it was my first Persona game, or finally getting to the top of Tartarus, the dialogue, or the KICK ASS music. Throwing the Velvet Room theme in there gave me chills.

For me, the entire final month of this game is the most intense and emotionally powerful moment in the entire series. The countdown to the final Dark Hour, the music that plays in the real world (the haunting city them being my favorite), the war of attrition final battle against Nyx, your lone final stand against her, and the most bitter sweet ending ever. Once you play this game along with The Answer, it sits in the back of your mind as you play the others. You never forget this story because without it, the others that came after it wouldn't exist. F for my favorite main protagonist in gaming. 🙏

When a game has the balls to kill off the MC at the end, you're usually in for a wild ride. P3 has balls of steel because it takes the theme of death even further, and kills off one of the best SLs in the game to really drive it all home. Death is a powerful theme, and few can pull it off like P3. Still have the distant hope for a remake though so we can see some of the weeker elements expanded upon and made stronger. Hopefully they keep the emotional scenes as are though if they do ever remake it. Making those fucking moments hit even harder will kill a man.

Having the characters be mostly self controlled is a weird game design choice and not really good for most of the game Until late game comes around and their AI reaches the point where they will save you multiple times and it almost feels like there's a friend on another controller somehow helping you out

I played this game when I was 11. Didn't understand much except the social links part. I didn't understand English. I have played it more than 6 times now, but everytime the meaning changes. There was one time I was so depressed that I wanted to actually die, but I just picked this game up and then I realized something. Don't know exactly what it was that I realized, but this game made me want to fight. It doesn't matter if my life sucks, I have to try. It's been 3 years now since that playthrough and I'm still breathing. I have finished a book. Have friends. Started a new job. Have income. Have boyfriend who loves me. I feel surer about myself, and I know it could crash down sometimes, but at least I know that I am here and better than that time because I did not give up. I love this game with all my heart. I'm glad you play Portable too because it is also special for its social links and some subtle change and depth it brings to the game. I love you for trying this game. edit: im 24 years old now
