Play the long game. At 25 post college and grad school, self employed, broke, school debt, and homeless. By 40, whole different story for the better. Just takes time and discipline to do the right things and be prepared for opportunities. Stack one win after mother and get back up when inevitably knocks down. If you’re doing things not related to goals and succeeding, stop doing those things.

This is really interesting to me. It took me 6 years to graduate high school because I was severely depressed and probably dumb (my teachers think I have a learning disability but my parents don’t believe in that)I attempted suicide a year after. People probably thought I would be least likely to succeed. But now I’m in college studying Computer Science with 2 internship offers from Facebook (got a return offer). It’s important to remember that academic success does not mean you’ll be successful career wise. So I’m really grateful for that.

The kids that grew up in upper middle class families are drug addicts. The only thing Boomers did was survive so that they can be scapegoats for millennials and younger generations to blame on their own shortcomings. I’m also a millennial.
