The idea (I’m not promoting it lol) is that the original constitution laid out principles based on English common law (which of course is true - you can’t have a good conspiracy theory without at least one grain of truth). A “city” is a corporation. So the argument is because they didn’t contract with the City Corp Inc. that they aren’t subject to “rules” imposed by the city. Sort of like how your HOA can’t send you to jail because their “codes” aren’t enforceable (also true). Now imagine that the ENTIRE US system isn’t the real “united States” a group of states, united in a confederacy, but instead capital “United States Company Inc.” which came along later and, under the guise of “law” (codes and ordinances) they hire their own staff of mercenaries to protect / enforce. This is why they quote UCC because that isn’t Criminal but COMMERCIAL code. So they’re basically fighting like if you bought a house which did NOT have deed restrictions and then suddenly I randomly sent you a letter claiming to be the HOA. And then if you don’t pay me I send my personal mob out, dressed in uniforms to forcibly take you / harass you. That’s the point of view. And of course - IF they were right - they absolutely SHOULD be resisting the police etc. Right?? Haha. That’s why they fight so hard. And they fund it by fooling people into believing they are REQUIRED to pay income taxes. That’s where the “tax evasion” part comes in cuz there is an argument that the 16th amendment wasn’t properly ratified, therefore income taxes are not lawful (because until then, income taxes WERE unconstitutional) See the problem is that we all know, generally speaking, that the federal government is beholden to big business, or “the elite” or “crony capitalism” or whatever you want to say. Add this not-so-fictitious boogey man to the general ideas above and you can dream up an entire army of willing participants in this giant scam. Again not promoting the idea. But it helps to understand the POV. I had a friend’s dad in high school who was a member of the John Birch society and died owing hundreds of thousands to the IRS. I’ve heard hours of this subject haha. The idea that you are a citizen of your state, but not THE State (ie the United States) is very alluring to states rights minded conservatives, especially because the constitution (before 10th amendment, thank you anti-federalists for the bill of rights) the constitution does limit the federal governments powers to places the US Government owns like military bases and DC. One of the very large holes in the argument of course is that as a citizen of your State, you WOULD be subject to all their laws like drivers licenses, registration, etc. And because of the tenth amendment, the same constitution which does protect your rights is also delegates to the states the ability to restrict, so long as they aren’t forbidden by the constitution. A lot of people don’t know that the constitution GIVES / establishes the Federal Government and its powers. The Amendments take power away or clarify that it doesn’t have that power. Also people don’t tend to know that US Federal Law generally only applies to interstate commerce. That is why, for example, DEA goes after traffickers while local LEO goes after dealers or users. Because the above IS true, then the (faulty) argument is that all the “rights” of states etc. ALSO only apply to commerce, hence the “I’m not engaged in commerce” argument. You can’t constitutionally limit PEOPLE but you can limit COMMERCE is the general idea. That’s the “traveling” argument in a nutshell. If you ignore personal driver licenses, look around and you see that you can generally walk around doing whatever you want but as soon as you start selling something you need a license. Even the person who cuts your hair has a license. So the idea is “I’m not a business. I’m just traveling around” makes sense. The truth though of course is BOTH things can be true. You can be required to have a license to commercially drive AND to personally drive. And about commerce - I live in Texas and for example when cannabis laws were changed it was because a corporation sued the government for violating their rights to conduct business. It wasn’t about people getting locked in cages but about business. I often joke that here in Texas there is a “civil right to do business” that they seem to be really big on. 😂😂

Sovereign Citizens show up to courts because they love to create conflicts and make it all about them. They think society is always out to get them and they bare no responsibility for their actions. The laws apply to everyone else but them. They don’t want to participate in society, as most can’t even hold down a job. It comes down to they want to prove they are superior to the Judge and the “System” in their minds. They enjoy the chaos and attention too much to stay away.

I like to imagine kids in the country have *“Teenage Tractor Uber”* where a license to drive a tractor *isn’t required* so 10-14yr olds can take a tractor 🚜 everywhere and offer rides to other country folks. ✅ During winter it’s snowmobiles. ✅ Near golf courses ⛳️ it’s done by golf cart.

The TIMBER and drone of his voice and non-stop monologue is pure madness. It's like there's a tape loop in his head attached to his mouth. UNBEARABLE and certainly UNGOVERNABLE- as all Sov Cits are. This is a dangerous movement!!!

He's going to keep being remanded if he does this at every single hearing. They're going to do a Brooks and put him in another room so that they can conduct a hearing. I just don't understand why people make their life so hard. This is not a hill to die on. If you break the law then deal with the consequences.

My family used to cruise up the coast of Lake MI every Summer in my parent's sailboat back when I was a kid. Leland was one of my favorite ports. We'd usually spend a couple days there. If ever there was a "quaint fishing village", Leland would have to rank right up there near the top.

I was a FIre Marshal and while not running into a lot of these whackos, I would write my ticket, or citation and if they refused it, I left it on the car or taped to the front door. If they gave me grief, I pulled out the summons book and wrote them, and if they refused to sign and accept the summons (press hard 5 copies) if not, the cuffs, and a trip to the magistrate was coming. I didn't care how much they yelled or claimed they were not subject to my summons, I told them "tell it to the magistrate" who decided what their bail would be. HOWEVER, IF they ARE NOT U.S., state or city citizens then they are ILLEGAL ALIENS and therefore I'd take them into custody and let them prove to the magistrate they were U.S. citizens and able to be given bail and released from jail, OR held for ICE to come and let them explain to ICE where the country of MOORE is and which plane they will be put on. If I were the ICE agent, I'd "mis hear " MOORE and put them on a plane for Mauritania and let them explain to those officials who they are (without US ID ). I'll bet they'll be looking to call the US EMbassy ASAP for a ticket back.

Someone in the chat at some point mentioned that it seems like so many of the Sovcits are from Michigan. So... as a Michigander I feel like I have to set the record straight. It only seems like that because it just so happens Michigan is one of the few states that actually live streams cases on KZbin. So basically Michigan represents a disproportionately large section of the videos that are actually available for us to look at (we don't even have the option to see these videos for most states). I'd venture to estimate that Michigan does have more Sovcits than some states, but I'd guess its probably somewhere in the middle range as far as percentages go, compared to other states.
