To answer your question about projects: I do 2 things: 1. I have a page in my journal for the current active projects. That helps me visualize how many. I try not to be judgemental about what is on there. Every once in a while I rewrite/draw it if it's feeling stale and that helps me understand if the project is still important/interesting to me. 2. I hold crafting nights at my house. I invite a group of folks over, provide snacks, and we all work on our own projects. Some folks do the same project every time, my ADHD does not allow that so I just go with whatever I'm excited about that day.

I actually muttered the Marie Kondo "Does this spark joy?" line at some point while watching this video 😅. I meant it just to be funny but then I see your comment and you know what? Tamagotchi looks like a potential keychain, tbh. The deep bond with the things we buy with our adult money for our inner child is strong. Sparkly enamel pins was a big things at some point for me. And nobody could get me to get rid of the lego boxes, or gameboy games boxes (yes, all empty). I wanna be buried in a coffin made of these. 11:11 lemme start by saying I do _not_ have a consistent long term system, but I have recently found that going through and reorganizing, or even just occasionally holding, things that are on "the shelf" helps things to get moved through more quickly and not sit there for months. I also made a list of my ongoing (mostly intangible) projects on my whiteboard since I look at it daily and it's easily changeable. That helps give me direction when I'm stuck for something to do as well.

That's been Changing.My.Life in terms of remembering I have/want to do things. I too am a creative girlie who always has things in progress. Instead of focusing on trying to get to those things on a particular day, I create a couple of drop stations in strategic places throughout my space. I know I won’t always have or want a full day dedicated to work on my hobbies. Instead I use a larger basket or bin and place it near a work station or in a drawer. So when I’m ready to finish those projects, I’ll pull them out and work on as much as I can. Hope this works for you ✌🏾🫶🏾

Maybe you could use the cubby you freed up as your new projects shelf instead of the ikea ladder shelf? I feel like the shelf by the door is well placed though but maybe better for decor or displaying cameras?
