Lol
@jphizack97294 жыл бұрын
These guys aren't bowing to each other in any sense that they're showing respect to each other or the ref.. They're nodding their heads acknowledging that they understand what the ref said so if the ref does have to disqualify either participant, they were first given warnings and the information on how to avoid disqualification. Its simple acknowledgement, not respect or fear.

I believe that Keith Hughes’ performance refereeing Andre Berto vs. Luis Collazo was one of the best out there. I wish more referees did justice to the fans and enforced the no excessive holding rule. In this case, Berto was prevented from holding, put on a great performance, and obtained a great win. The fans won as well - a very exciting boxing match with no holding and wrestling.

Mills Lane has my respect. He got up in Mike Tyson's face and let him know he wasn't going to allow it. Though Mills clearly should've gigged Holyfield for headbutting, he showed heart. Lots of refs would've been terrified to get in Mike's face like that.

Mills Lane wasn't nicknamed "Judge" in vain... He knew that, just like in the courtroom, he was the biggest authority in the ring. And used his powers well. Against some other refs MIke would likely throw punches. If he did that to a federal judge (even outside of court) he would be back in jail, and he knew it.

Cappuccino had a policy of little intervention, and earned the respect of everyone due to it. It was a good thing that no serious injuries happened in fights he presided. Made him being right. My favourite boxer of the modern era, ia, Julio Cesar Chavez. I've watched the stoppage of Meldrick Taylor by referee Richard Steele, many times to the point I've lost count to how many. My bias aside. That's gotta be a very brave and a 100% Correct stoppage. It's not for the ref to let a clearly, obviously damaged Taylor, who also clearly didn't even know where he was. He was asked if he was ok twice but seemed utterly bewildered. Brilliant stoppage! However heart breaking it must be to Meldrick and his team, fans, family, etc. If you listen to Meldrick Taylor now it's tragic to see the toll boxing took on him.
