Personally, I loved Redo of Healer. So much to where I'm planning a fandub of it. So far I've only gotten halfway through making the transcript for Episode 1. Hes just LIKE THAT, its like every time he's on screen Kishimoto just slows things down for a sec and just tell his editors to fuck off for a minute, and just allowed Minato to cook for a moment, and whenever that happened, its one of the peak in all of Naruto sends chills down your spine, love the 4th Hokage, one of the strongest BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, one of the coolest, calmest and most collective and dangerous characters in all of fiction. the fact that people hear everything Nux Taku said and all they could take from it was " oh minato did not create the reaper death seal" its just honestly lame to me, stop hating and appreciate the greatness, great video

So...because of one of your recent videos...i chose to watch Redo of Healer...i needed to see if it was as bad as everyone says. The anime itself is not terrible...objectively at least. Keyaru does terrible, reprehensible things to his targets, but i think its unfair to call him the worst person in that world. The princesses, the heroes, and the captains are morally bankrupt while Keyaru still does some good, admittedly he does more bad than good but hes better than those racist and depraved masochists he tortures.

Yeah but revenge is wrong and this kind of revenge is even wronger so Keyaru is bad, etc. etc. I think all but the most psychopathic/sociopathic would agree that Keyaru is not a good guy. The problem is that people think that just because he essentially did unto his torturers what they did to him that he can't be liked or respected or that his character is awful. Or something along those lines, I'm typing this months after the initial hate came out (including from Nux) and months after this vid, so I'm hazy on some of the specifics. I do remember the general senitment basically being that he's not worth being an MC or worth seeing in a good light, which just spits in the face of what was done to him, his seething hatred of those who wronged him, and the absolutely near-joyous catharsis of seeing him rip those assholes a new one. Should this kind of stuff be tolerated in real life? Absolutely not. But I bet among all the haters there are more than a few who would admit that it felt pretty good to see him get his revenge. Because it's a revenge manga, or rather a revenge manga that wants to be like hentai but can't. And people get too focused on what he does back to them to really get what's going on.

Honestly, I'd love to see characters that totally fit these various concepts, but aren't remotely along the normal expectations of the archetype, get mentioned occasionally. Like Maple from Bofuri, who's 100% a "menace to society", for pretty much completely and utterly different reasons from your average person. Or stuff like The Immortal King, where the underworld is literally so scared of the dude unleashing his abilities that they straight up have a scanner to see how close you are to the dude in order to reject anyone who dies that might make him upset. Characters who don't really intentionally do ANYTHING, yet have such a ridiculous effect on the world around them all the same.

there is this underrated webtoon, that deals with isekais in such a dark light and such pessimism. It's the standard isekai plot where the protag transports to another world to kill a boss level monster with a party of friends and has special powers. But then the protag has the ability to come back to the main human world. When he does he finds his parents murdered and his friends having moved on registering him as a runaway. He summons his powers to then wreak havoc on society. If that isn't a menace to society literally, idk what is. It's called the warrior returns but it has the most interesting and unique twist i have seen for this troupe

I wouldn't say that Minato "created" the "Reaper Death Seal" jutsu, as it's originally an Uzumaki thing (considering Orochimaru has to use a mask that can tap into power of the Shikigami of Death from an old, collapsed, & abandoned Uzumaki shrine), therefore Kushina, in one way or another, had to teach it to Minato. I will say that he is the most prominent user of the "RDS" jutsu, but that's all.
