Nice movie! Was in Harz in 2019. Did most of the paved roads, really great. Even found a huge network of gravel roads and had it basically to myself. Only one issue: Was alone and mobile coverage was nil.

That would be interesting to discover the gravel roads in this area. I know there are still places in Germany - especially in the former east were legal offroad tracks are common. Just a matter of finding them I guess ;-)

@@MotoVibes Yeah I was just wafting about, then while on a small, narrow pavement road I saw on the GPS something beind a barn. it led me into a network :) Else, with rgds to gravel heaven, and being a Norwegian, Sweden/Norway will offer a plethora of possibilities.

Today would have been a nice day for a ride too - perfect day in the fall - however, my little PC upgrade idea ended up beeing a full rebuilt of my video editing maschine - I figured since we will be spending a lot more time at home again this winter I might as well spend some coin on my PC. Yeah - the last long ride for this season and the only time I made it to the Harz Mountains this year - this first attempt ended prematurely with a damaged rear tire. The cold beer at the end of each ride is almost a ritual now ;-)

Thank you very much! I road is called B81 - it starts as a branch off from the B4 and continues north-east. A reference point is the "Raststätte Netzkater" - a popular hangout for motorcycle riders. The video shows almost the full length of the B81 before it merges with the B242. I hope this helps - I added this to the description of the video now ;-)

sorry for the late response - thank your for your nice feedback ;-) Yes, the windscreen is new for this season - I primarily got it for offroad use and kept it on all season now. I did a short review on the windscreen that is in the upload pipeline and will be publish in a few weeks

@@daveosborne4273 I would say there is about 600 km of road in the Harz that I have in my GPX library. You can ride many roads from the other direction as well doubling the experience 😉

@@christiangreiner504 Diese Strecke ist für ein Großteil nicht begrenzt (d.h. 100 km/h) - sehr viel schneller bin ich ohnehin nicht unterwegs gewesen zudem der Tacho in der Tat ordentlich mehr anzeigt als man eigentlich fährt - wollte nur möglichem Nerv vorbeugen ;-) aber Danke für die Sorge ;-)

Love your vids. Please accept this in the spirit in which it is given. I feel in an effort to suppress wind noise, engine note sound (which seems important to your production values) is being suppressed. Love your vids and the engine note is an important point in my enjoyment. Think of another way to present the wonderful engine note you have ❤️

I get your point - sound is still something that I need to improve. I have tried a few things in the past and ended up with current setup which does not always give good results. This particular ride was especially bad. The problem is with the source material in this case - I did not add any filters but I did turn off the helmet mic for most of the ride in post production. I have got long winter ahead of me - maybe I can come up with something for next seaon ;-)

Nice road. Was the plan for 2020 ''Freundschaftsfahrt' from Belgium in the Harz Mountains but Covid decided otherwise. 400 belgian motorcyclist were disappointed. Hopefully in 2021 will bring good news. No more speedo!!

beautiful roads/riding. I do miss seeing the speed reference, but totally get why you covered it. The helmet reflects it from time to time :-) Do you tend to use the (GPS) map to gage the sharpness of corners on unfamiliar roads?

Thank you very much - I wasn't racing down the road - most of the road is limited at 100 km/h anyway and that is the speed I was going mostly. it is just a precaution ;-) As for the GPS to gage the upcoming road: absolutely - I do take a quick peek at the upcoming curviness of a road just to see what is coming up ;-)

@@thorstenbethe1519 Ich hatte das kleine Racing Screen für meine Offroadfahrten beim Enduro Action Team gekauft - da macht sich ein großes Touring Windschild nicht so gut. Somit blieb es den ganzen Sommer drauf bis zur Offroad Tour im September wo ich auf dem Hinweg auch einiges an Autobahnfahrten hatte. Das geht sogar halbwegs mit dem kleinen Racing Screen. Jetzt wollte ich mal sehen wie so eine 800 km - ca. 2 Std Autobahn - die restlichen 7 Std waren Landstraße - damit geht. Fazit erstaunlich gut aber auf der Autobahn wäre mit das GIVI Windschild lieber gewesen ;-)

😂 allerdings - dauert eine Weile - allerdings ist hier Davinci Resolve (lerne hier immer noch ordentlich dazu seit dem Wechsel im Sommer) etwas schneller als Premiere Pro. Mit ein bisschen mehr Übung geht das auch beim nächsten Mal etwas schneller. Hat sich aber gelohnt für diese schöne Strecken - ein 3-4min Edit mit Drohnenaufnahmen etc. kommt auch noch von der Tour - finde den Herbst wirklich schön zum Fahren!

@@MotoVibes ich nehme Sony Vegas denn der ist zwar langsamer als dr aber dafür genauer und er macht gute und kleine h265 files. Was du auch noch machen kannst ist das Handy so montieren dass es den Tacho verdeckt. Geschwindigkeit hast du ja auf dem Navi

@@tourhuntr bin jetzt in den letzten Zügen meines mittlerweile dritten PC Upgrades in den letzten 2 Jahren 😂 Da DR sehr stark die GPU nutzt lohnt sich das jetzt hoffentlich - auch ist der Speicher mal wieder ausgegangen - also kommt jetzt endlich ein RAID 5 rein - da brauchst dann ein neues Netzteil und Gehäuse und schon hat man eine schöne Bastelaufgabe für den Freitagabend. Lerne noch was alles geht bei DR aber ich bin total begeistert im Vergleich zu Premiere Pro - DEUTLICH weniger Abstürze und das Rendern geht VIEL schneller. Mal sehen was das Hardware Upgrade jetzt noch bringt. komm noch zu nichts, da ich die Daten erst aufs RAID spielen muss -dauert schon den ganzen Tag und ist noch nicht fertig

@@stevietimis463 natürlich kenne ich die Onboard Videos vom Schaaf. Allerdings hat er einen anderen Fokus - da geht es mehr um unterschiedliche Bikes und qualitativ sehr gut aufgenommen Motorsound - oft auf den selben Strecken - d.h. es geht mehr um die Bikes als die gefahrenen Strecken. Meine Onboards sollen allen die es interessiert einen ungeschnittenen Einblick in interessante Strecken geben. Solche Videos schaue ich mir selbst häufig an (von anderen Leuten auf YT) wenn ich Strecken für eine Tour zusammen stelle - z.B. für meine Offroad Tour im Piemont dieses Jahr - ich wollte ein Gefühl bekommen für den Schwierigkeitsgrad der Offroadstrecken. cheers ;-)
