Lots of fun here! Well-made video for a small channel. Something for Horobi: Bloodthirsty Blade. One mana to shoot down your opponents' creatures, and keep the biggest thing away from you if Horobi isn't out. Side note: the Elder Gargaroth myriad tokens don't get the attack trigger, since they're created after the time has passed. They're still massive, though.
@patchworkcommander49953 жыл бұрын
I am really happy that you enjoyed, you are actually one hundred percent correct that's definitely a mistake on my end. But still getting 24 mana seems awesome. Bloodthirsty blade is great in that deck. That's some super cool tech. Have you played a Horobi deck or you just thought of that
@Xenozfan23 жыл бұрын
@@patchworkcommander4995 Just thought of it. I've been meaning to work it into a deck, but never found a place for it. SaffronOlive played Horobi for a Commander Clash a long time ago (S2E13), so if you're interested you can take a look there.

I saw that blue commander last week in a list of tribal commanders and thought that the ability was very limited and kind of useless but now with your video I need to build that deck!
@patchworkcommander49953 жыл бұрын
Right, its twisted bit really cool. I think a lot of the cards in the deck are efficient enough (like most of them are cheap and even draw you a card) that playing these types of cards doesnt come at a loss for the deck. I think its evil in the right kind of way
@piquelle27743 жыл бұрын
You know what, I made cephalid tribal deck with Aboshan Cephalid Emperor as the commander. I would sometimes swap out for llawan if I was playing against a bunch of blue decks. I pulled the deck apart a while ago but now that you just introduced me to some of the cards llawan can use I’m a little interested in getting it going again.

That's, what i like to hear. There are a bunch of spicy cards that can go into the list. I like the fact that a bunch of card replace themselves by drawing a card

I always find myself playing around with chandra's ignition as a wincon where possible, but wow doing 100 damage to everyone would be a pretty sick play.

That's why I'm amazed to see that this commander has so little decks around it. I'm honestly thinking about building this rn just to do that. Deal a cool 100 damage

@@patchworkcommander4995 I've got a few theme variations I want to try, but right now it has as many cheap "hit everyone" spells as I can find (Hurricane being an example I wouldn't otherwise run in EDH), then pays off with Golgari good stuff. This version has a bit of a Tergrid line, but I think I'm going to eventually refocus the deck into more artifacts or Eldrazi.
@patchworkcommander49953 жыл бұрын
@@Silt44 Do you think cards like hurricane are better than creatures that deal one. Since, they will get you the mana directly on turn 2 when you play belbe. Verses, having to wait a turn to do anything?

@@patchworkcommander4995 I have several versions if the effect, though creatures are definitely preferred as they leave a blocker behind. Maggot Carrier and Cauldron Familiar are great, but I want as many of the effects as I can reasonably fit at 1-2 cmc.

Horobi is bad ass. I use him in my red / black deck that has goblin bombardment and Yawgmoth. Ping off opponent's creatures for gain. And I usually have Dictate of Erebos in play so they lose more creatures.
@patchworkcommander49953 жыл бұрын
Horobi annihilates a board single handedly. It's crazy to see. Especially, when you get one of those cards that lets you target multiple creatures.
@exiledhero37913 жыл бұрын
I own Thromok, and it isn’t as good when I have a limited card pool and budget. I do want to make a token deck though. Horobi is too easy to make a budget deck, and it is too easy to shut down equipment decks. I haven’t used or owned the rest, so I can’t comment on them. Also, Jhoira of the Ghitu. I have made a deck around her, never seen anyone else use her, and you could get lucky and have a turn 5 eldrazi Titan, void winnower, or desolation twin. Plus, it’s basically paying two mana to cheat things and counts as a cast. My version could use some bounces, but it is overall quite effective.
@patchworkcommander49953 жыл бұрын
On a budget, belbe seems like a really strong deck that you might like. It has the ability to also cheat in the big eldrazi too. Also, have you tried mage slayer (idk what the budget is) its around 2 dollars and can do a lot of work. Also, the tokens like scute swarm if you dont have it already and really do work

@@patchworkcommander4995 my budget is whatever cards I have, and I decided to make one on Untap, where there’s no actual budget. I will try to make one in paper, but it will be weaker. I just say budget because I rarely have a deck worth $130+
