Whats the point of having better hardware than ally x if you have to play at 15w to reach same battery life of ally x, while playing at 25 w on ally x and getting better performance than on 15 w one fly? And its cost almost double of ally x for not double performance than ally x

So for the math, the ally x is 799, the oxf is 1339. Double 799 is 1598. I actually just finished a performance target battery test between the 2, I'll be releasing shortly which will be a better measure for hitting a fps target and seeing what the battery cost is on each.

01:45 minutes IT'S NOT a good play time. With the ROG ALLY X I get basically 3 hours game-play at 17w battery and more than 4 hours playing retrogames... Conclusion, a good device with a shitty battery...

I just put out a video with another battery test. Ally x gets 2.5 hours at 17/18w. Give it a watch, it’s a performance target based battery test if you’re interested
@robertespinoza595826 минут бұрын
I run a ally x every day, and I upgraded from a z1 extreme so I been there for a while, always looking to move up but honestly I think for a extra 10-15 fps bacicly double the price and it looks like they did jump some major corners like tf is that charger lol give us a actual lap top charger like the ally gets for that price, those mapable buttons are in a weird place, the joysticks would probably bug me lol
@okestgamer12 минут бұрын
The ally x actually comes with a 65w charger as well. I do wish this one came with 100w so it could charge much faster, same goes for the ally x.

You can’t compare two items with a $500 price difference between them. There is very little practical need for the horsepower that this new gen device provides at the price point it sells for. You can get crazy performance from a current gen AMD using frame gen tech, especially if you are packing more than 16 gigs of RAM. They are selling a one x player with the 8,000 series chip and an OLED 144 hertz refresh rate 32 gigs of RAM for $999. There ain’t no way in hell you need something mire powerful then that. That device is surely a beast & there is no next gen tech that boosts performance enough to be worth an extra $350.
@okestgamerКүн бұрын
You can compare performance, if I was doing a cost comparison video then that's another matter.
@edwardlashley3572Күн бұрын
That’s like comparing the performance of a $350 Nintendo switch with a $699 PlayStation 5 pro. There is a reason for the 350 price difference between those two do silss. That’s like putting a lightweight into a boxing match with a heavyweight. There’s a reason why weight divisions exist in the world of professional fighting.
@okestgamerКүн бұрын
@@edwardlashley3572 sure but these are handhelds not folks who can get injured haha. I’m not telling folks what to buy or which is better in a price to performance, simply showing what each chipset can do, and what to expect for the Z2E
@crestofhonor2349Күн бұрын
Price does not need to match to compare the devices. Even then the Switch is overpriced for the price it comes if you're solely going after price. Even if the Switch and PS5 Pro would match in price the PS5 Pro would still vastly outperform the switch simply because one is a battery powered hybrid handheld and the other is a home console. The Switch cannot chug back 150-200w of power as it's cooling system and battery are unable to take those kind of loads

It’s the results of the majority of handhelds except the ones with at least 65wh batteries. I’m working on a performance based battery test where the ally x and onexfly target 60fps in cyberpunk with very low settings and FSR/frame gen enabled. See how efficient they can get.

I feel like I wasted all that cash on the Lenovo Legion Go, the sound quality sucks!!! But after some research, cleaning up hard drive and unwanted apps it's actually a good handheld ONLY if you pickup a really good battery bank. I will more and likely sell it and pickup this new handheld device. Good review

Not quite twice, but about $570 more than ally x. It’s more a new chip that will outperform the older Z1E. It’s a good preview of what to expect from the ally 2

@@DaveTheeMan-wj2nk You're going to lose that bet. Nintendo has historically never pushed hardware specs. The last time they had the best hardware was in the 90s and even that is debatable. Unlike the other companies, they are always looking to make a profit from hardware sales and they can't do that trying to be at the forefront of tech. With that said, the Switch 2 will outsell these handhelds easily on name value alone. It doesn't need top of the line specs.
