As for Experience in dealing with artillery, Ukraine is kinda unique, it’s outgunned roughly 5 to 1, yet it still keeps going. Ukraine won’t have a big navy for a long time I think nor will it be able to project any power. But if you need a bunch of experienced, innovative, very tough, well trained and battle hardened folks to fight a conventional war on land you need look no further, In my opinion. And with an Air Force, attack helicopters and more modern vehicles, the general consensus will be “Don’t F’ with Ukraine” 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦. You gotta love Putin’s plan to demilitarize Ukraine, instead he has created a very capable professional army, and armed them.

Having the designs for a hypersonic missile is great and building prototypes is great but can it be manufactured at a scale that would enable it to become a force in a global industrial war. Germany had jet fighters in WW2 but simply could not build enough of them to compete with thousands of aircraft in the sky. German also had tanks that were more capable than anything the Allies had but again could not produce them at scale. Germany also had missiles in WW2 but again could not manufacture them at scale. And this is all with Germany being one of the most advanced industrial countries on earth at the time.

Gentlemen, remember that at the start of WWII, the US did rather poorly right out of the box. They lost a huge chunk of the Pacific fleet in one blow, and the Battle of Kasserine Pass was a real wake up call for the American military. Their advantage? The US had the time and the industrial capacity to learn from their mistakes and make up their losses, two things the French didn't have. On top of that, the American populous hadn't lost a full quarter of their adult male population just 20 years before. France was still trying to recover from their 1918 victory in 1940. For them the cliché was true. The only thing worse than being victorious would have been being defeated.

I honestly wouldn’t put Russia at number 2, given how badly they’re doing in Ukraine. After watching lots of combat footage, the Russians appear to be very poorly trained. The Russians don’t scan their surroundings when walking through urban environments, they ride on top of APCs/IFVs in environments where they may be ambushed by insurgents, and I’ve even seen them break from their units and run headlong into enemy-controlled urban environments, after their platoons come under fire. Even if they aren’t motivated for this fight, they should still be doing basic stuff for their own safety, but they don’t appear to have been trained to do it. Their equipment is old, and a lot of their convoys are getting destroyed so fast that the vehicles don’t even make it out of the lanes they were driving in. Their explosive reactive tank armor doesn’t appear to be very good, yet they rely so heavily on it. The Russians look just like the Soviets, who only won conflicts like WWII because they had superior numbers of lower-quality troops. Elements of Russia’s best army, the First Guards Tank Army, have been deployed, badly bloodied, and stopped cold, so even “quality” units aren’t performing. Over a week in, and Ukraine’s tiny air force hasn’t been wiped out, and the Ukrainians are operating non-stealthy drones against the supposedly good Russian anti-aircraft defenses. In less than 1 month, Russian deaths and tank losses may end up exceeding U.S. deaths and tank losses over a period of 32 years and three wars, and there haven’t been any huge urban battles yet, which will cause huge casualties. China has way more numbers, GDP, and production capacity than Russia. I’d put China at number 2. I honestly think that Desert Storm was more indicative of what a conventional military confrontation between the U.S. and Soviets, or the U.S. and Russia, would actually look like than what most people would have thought before the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. The Russian military is simply not very good pound for pound. The war in Ukraine is making it clear that the Russian military and their equipment were pretty overrated for years.

While Russia is undoubtably struggling far more than it thought it would in Ukraine, and is having some of it's shortcomings exposed, it's not as bad as the media and social media are making it look for them. They are still making steady gains daily and haven't brought their full weight down on Ukraine. Don't get me wrong I am hoping that somehow Ukraine can pull this off, but realistically if Russia decides to throw it's true weight at Ukraine, the country will fall quickly without direct outside help.
@TheFinalChapters2 жыл бұрын
@@boundlessoul This is all of Russia's weight that it can afford to throw. They can't just send their entire army due to having to protect their massive border. It should also be noted that Ukraine's military isn't even in the top 10. It does have the support of multiple militaries that *are* in the top 10, including number 1, though. All this being said, Russia's military clearly isn't capable of projecting power outside its borders in the same way that China is, so at this point it's clear that China is above Russia.
