He’s a very obscure character to be sure. His story is that a young boy who would go an to be a resistance fighter found an old droid factory and built is own b1 battle droid, he painted him red and gave him a vibro-blade, he is also one of the most sadistic droids in the galaxy, breaking out in song and dance when he kills people.

Mr Bones is one of the main characters in the Aftermath Novels, he was made by temmin (snap) wexley (I think) out of old battledroid parts and was programmed to protect him with some...defects, he also appears in some other extended media as a bounty hunter in some comics.

He is also implied to use some parts and/or programming from HK-47, something the author wanted to make explicit but wasn't allowed to. At one point in the novels his voice still glitches into a sharper tone than usual and he quotes a line from KotoR.

He also has some of Grievous' training/programming, and apparently a few snippets of his memory as well. I like how the VA seemed to lean into that here by making Bones have Grievous' speech patterns and weird combat grunts.

@@emilianodelgado6573 he's from the saga era, he can't be in the kotor remake. The implication is that Snap scavenged HK-47's personality matrix and included it in Mr. Bones. A way to work this into a KOTOR remake would be to remake KOTOR 2 with Akiva- Snap's homeplanet which is already full of ruins ripe for scavenging- and have the HK-50s be manufactured in a ziggurat shaped building.

Just a note, the present tense of the Aftermath novels made them almost impossible to read, but that same tense works great for the audio book. With the great voice actor they used, and special effects sounds, it was more like an audio play. And Mr. Bones was hilarious! They even used the proper electronic modulation so the voice actor would sound like him!

Mr Bones is the most dangerous, gruesome, and hilarious B1 Battle Droid. Mr Bones was rebuilt by a kid who was lonely and was tech savvy, after rebuilding him with the scrap parts he had, he gave Mr bones an additional blade that extends from his right arm. Not sure if it was accident or not, but when he rebuilt Mr bones, Mr bones had an intense want to kill, but also had the same amount of intent to protect his creator. When he gets into fights, he usually does so while singing, and yes, he calls himself Mr bones from him attaching the bones of some of his kills to his body.

Chuck Wendig even adds a quick blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene in which it is implied that he also has a portion of HK-47’s programming built into him! I once tweeted to ask him if he snuck it in to secretly canonize KOTOR and he essentially said that, yes, he did it to canonize HK-47. Pretty fun little bit of trivia.

Oh I'm so glad Bones does have his vibroblade. That's his main method of attack in the novels, and other videos I watched made it look like he didn't have it and was only ranged character. Fun fact, he has the memories and personality matrixes of many droids. This includes HK-47, but also somehow snippets of Grevious' memories, giving him great skill with the vibroknife. He also likes to "sing" while fighting.

Mister Bones, also simply referred to as Bones, was a heavily modified B1-series battle droid with a murderous personality. He was constructed by Temmin Wexley and built from components the boy scavenged from the catacombs beneath Myrra, the capital city of Akiva. Bones served as Temmin's personal bodyguard in addition to being considered his friend and loyal companion. He had a sadistic personality and would sing or hum while attacking and maiming his victims. After Temmin reunited with his mother, Norra Wexley, Temmin joined the nascent New Republic and helped Norra and her team hunt down Imperial war criminals.
