This tank top has been one of my most highly requested DIY's ever!!
I took $3 men's jeans from the thrift store and turned them into a custom tank top!
If you're making a short tank, you can use one pair, if you want something a little longer, you will need 2 pairs of jeans.
Make sure they both have the same style inseam so that it will match up on the front and back.
You can mix colors, or find a matching pair.

Yes!!! Love it. You are a gifted designer. Please do more with denim. Can you make a little clutch or media bag for a cell phone out of the scraps of leftover denim? Maybe add a touch of prairie print binding or piping? Prairie is a big look in 2019. (from Grandma Bunny in Phoenix).

Awesome! I think you could do so many different versions of this!...like you ad patches or put the zipper on the front to wear it as a shirt or vest, or as you said make it longer as a dres. And even add your flower pattern you did on the jeans!

I am 'doubly' excited to make this!!!! Our thrift stores here (Canada) charges a minimum of $10.99 CDN per pair of used jeans (about $7.85 USD) and if they happen to be a name brand they charge even more - I know...ridiculous! Anyhooooo! Still really cheap for something unique! Now to learn how to do darts for my big twin girls - tee hee!

This was such a fun colab! I found Angelina's channel a little bit back right around when you posted the reverse tye die video! She has a video turning a hoodie into a cold shoulder sweater with a zipper so that you can wear it either way and I've been dying to combine those two DIYs since I watched them!! She helped me on a few items and she kept pulling the fabric DOWN do the underarm almost. So they went straight from the underarm to the nipple, they weren't angled at all.

Wow without even speaking it, you guys are doing a virtual collab. Am I dreaming? Don't wake me. Tee Hee I been with Blueprintdiy for awhile now (totally amazing) and I think about maybe 6 months ago your video showed up as recommended and I clicked... and oh yeah and hit that subscribe button. I was not sure she was aware of you and she had this game show and I thought you would be an excellent contestant. Something going on with Angelina's comments on her KZbin and it lock. But here you guys are....FANTASTIC! I really like what Blueprintdiy did to fashionably alter her jeans for a better fit. When I get over my scissor phobia, I will definite try these jeans upscale that have been provided. Hummmm Orly, what about those of us that do not have dress forms? haha love this! Yes, I think you could grab a dress from your closet that has the princess seam and use that as a guide? Maybe make a paper pattern first, drawing the princess seam on it and then use that to cut out your jean panels?
