For The Beatles I'd imagine somewhere between 10-15 billion for their most popular release in the first 10 years or so (despite being as popular as they were, there were less people back then), and then between say 20 and 35 million streams today
@Flattithefish
@Flattithefish Жыл бұрын
@@samelliott97 yea generally the number would be far many times lower because for once less people existed and secondly even if the people had discovered internet at that time was accessible on the market and Spotify existed it’s just that a low amount would have access to the internet because computers were expensive and the secondly and mainly the would probably not pay for a music streaming service as mainly people didn’t do and instead watch KZbin videos which the same thing happend in real life because a lot of spotify users used to use KZbin instead.

The reason why is because the Black Album was released the same year as Nirvana’s Nevermind. 1991 was a year packed with massive albums. Then their 80s classics were up against albums that were massive at the time.

@@bentownsend4017 Let's be fair here, The Blue Print is a shit ton better than "Toxicity" (2001) Edit: im not saying he's the best rapper of all time but just that whenever you look up a list, he's always on there SOMEWHERE so yeah
@bentownsend4017
@bentownsend4017 10 ай бұрын
@@BoterKat yeah i just looked and it's interesting that he is placed number one on a lot of lists. But outside of that I don't hear as much about him . He was probably more played in his time, relative to other rappers which have aged better on spotify? By that I mean his 90s and early 2000s stuff, his streams are huge for watch the throne and the blueprint 3 blueprint might be considered better. I listened to it and liked a few songs but by streams it's not even a contender for 2001. Toxicity has 10x as many streams.

@@thedelaunesband1405 yeah forgot the Dead Star Syndrome. Queen has half of their total record sales in US after Freddie Mercury died.Made in Heaven album debuted at #1. Bohemian Rhapsody instantly became the most streamed classic rock song after that movie was released beating out Teen Spirit and Sweet Child o Mine. Queen had 11million listeners on Spotify a month before the movie was released which rose to 39.6 million in a month after the movie was released.Safe to say that movie made Queen popular today thus giving birth to the most annoying fanbase a band can have.
