Personally, I cannot play Papers Please. It's simply too stressful for me, although in my case it's because I've been on the other side of this in real life. It's not fun. The game itself is great, but I cannot play it. It does its job too well.

In Dark Souls, you can plan ahead and death is often a learning experience. In Papers, Please your mistakes quickly mount up, and for a player doing poorly with their money that can be nerve-wracking. I've gotten all the endings, tokens, and achievements in Papers, Please and I still get stressed out while playing it on occasion.

I will say, Otz is surprisingly thorough with how he plays the game. Most people just rush through all the entrants to try and earn as much money, but Otz makes sure he does his job

I’m sure it has to also do with just how he plays games as a whole + his past job as a dispatcher. He plays games in such a way where he tries to be thorough,even DBD-And will call out his mistakes on the second he notices them. But yeah,it’s really nice.

This game in general is about tough choices and if you watch the short film you will understand that Otz's decision to "doom" the wife was not necessarily wrong (although it's not the same couple in the game and the film).

Yeah, for many people in chat it was probably never even an option in their head not to let her through, which is why it was so much more surprising when Otz just did it like that You can also see Otz doesn't usually reas the transcripts, maybe not getting on as much of a personal level with the characters.

Yep, I really wish a lot of content creators would opt for private recordings uploaded straight to KZbin like markiplier does for example. It’s way more immersive for both the creator and the viewer and you don’t have to worry about nonstop spoilers. I think it being live only adds to the stress otz has from the game and then obviously he starts just using them as a crutch to avoid getting things wrong which defeats the point of the game.

The date format makes sense to us since we write the date like how we say the date. Like saying "July 14th", we put the month first instead of saying "14th of July". But tbh the day before the month also makes sense as well
