Thank you for this beginning level tutorial. There is no way, as a newbie, I know how to set power and speed levels, so I am just going to do a simple project like this and let XCS decide. Hoping not to burn my house down! But your tutorial makes me feel like I can do this! Wish me luck!

Good stuff. You could just click each layer in xtool to tell whatever color to do whatever all at once. One thing i with silhouette had would make it so much easier to have a layer panel

Silhouette Studio does have a layers panel.

Silhouette studio could be even better if it allowed much more for tablet. I have to use different software because although I have a laptop my main tool is my iPad and mobile like many others.

When I save a design in Silhouette Studio as an svg and then open it in creative space it is saved with dotted lines instead of a solid line. What am I doing wrong?

If I wanted to buy an x tool, if budget didn’t matter too much. What would you suggest? I have an FSL laser I hate. I want something for tumblers, earrings, ornaments …just simple stuff. I want something that is easy. I could never get my laser to cut thru stuff consistently….the rotary wouldn’t turn…just a basic pain. I have lots of other toys so can run software…I have embroidery, sublimation, vinyl cutter and the new BN2. I want something easy…so I can jump on without too much of a learning curve.

So when I save my design and import into XCS my page comes with it when I only want the name to cut
