In this episode we detail the construction of our most beautiful greenhouse to date! We designed this Zome Greenhouse to be an extremely efficient use of it's 200 sq ft footprint. We build the structure from our own woodworking plans and didn't cut one single compound bevel in the process! This type of structure is a perfect balance of efficiency, simplicity and distinctiveness. None of the seams rely on sealant or caulking to shed water.

I did it Johnny. I built the beveled model . It took quite a bit of focus and I was forced to throw away more than one crooked 2 x But…. It came out quite nice and everyone loves it. We still have not completed the entry but I’m working with my own ideas on that one.

Quick tip; When cutting poly, you can turn your saw blade backwards to reduce the risk of breaking the plastic.

Exactly right. I used a fine tooth finish cut blade backwards and it was fantastic. No burr, chipping or cracking. Clamp each side down while leaving room to cut. One thing though, wear ear protection!!! Cutting like that creates a deafening high pitched squeal that will kill your hearing for days.

I've been building and working in construction since the 90s and I am in awe of your zone structures, but... I still can't wrap my head around how many of the same exact panel somehow create a sphere. Lol. I would love to help you build one sometime to learn from the master. South America area has a company that loads up containers and ships them across the world.. that was the closest one I found to america... you should buy a shit ton of bamboo and get it shipped and stored here in the states.. lol I want some .
