Ya never know the older the coin the more it will be worth and to be honest it all depends on where you sell it people these days just don't know how valuable coin's are and when you try selling them it just doesn't work out the way you planned but in order for you to get a lot of money try finding a place where you can sell them there's a auction that sell coin's somewhere here in Australia but the problem is I am still trying to figure out where that place is now I my self am a coin collector well just started collecting and already I have 19 rare gold coins and 10 rare 50c coins and about 2 rare 20c coins I collect any coin with pictures on it that I don't have and I ad it to my collection later on I discover the value of the coin that I've got and I keep it Mate the best thing to do is keep it and not give up their 's always someone else out there looking for coin's that will trade or buy it from you for what it's worth try to find out where coin auction's are and give it a try you never know you might be surprised what you'll get from it 👍

Excuse me but the Australian 1966 round 50 cent piece is made of 80%. I recently sold 2 of these coins for $30 AUS. Value is standing at $15 each and higher as they are a much sorted coin for collectors.
