If you want to see over portioned alcohol look at restaurants that serve margaritas. There’s a Mexican restaurant the next town over from me and in a margarita, and it tastes like straight tequila. You can’t taste anything else in it, and it’s one of those big bowl cups. The alcohol content was so high my three friends and I couldn’t finish it and all got sick from it later that night. I refuse to believe that’s the actual recipe for the margarita because it was disgusting.

I only complain when I've been there a bunch of times and like the place already. When I know it's usually better and I'm somewhat invested in the place, since I'd like to keep going there, then I say something to them directly. If I've been there once or twice, I just don't look back.

Attitude is an amazing thing. I always feel if you're right, and you KNOW you're right, there's no need to blow a gasket. Just stay calm, make your point, leave it at that. If you're wrong, however, and you know you're wrong, a lot of people would make a scene. But what sense does it make to get a nasty attitude if you're right? You could still lose your job, not for being right, but for lack of respect. Of course, in this case, the guy was both loud and wrong. But I've seen a woman who was 100% right get a nasty attitude with a manager who simply asked her if she was where she was supposed to be, which is a common question since we have a lot of people NOT being where they're supposed to be. The manager eventually just walked away after nearly being cursed out, and all I could think was, "What good was it being right if you lose your job over being nasty to a manager?" Better to have actually been wrong, quietly admitted it, and just accepted the write up. Instead this manager will have a stronger negative opinion of her and may act on it later. So was it worth it? I don't think so. She still has her job but I will always wonder about that.

You have to change the oil in the fryers once a week. And before you put new oil back in, you have to fill the fryer with water and baking soda and let it boil, then drain it and clean it out real good.

I would even go and say a new oil everyday. If the restaurant or fast food uses a lot of the oil , then change every few hours.

But constant use, and types of stuff going in the fryer could possibly shorten it to maybe 3-5 days before you should change it. When I put my oil in the fryer, I will strain it, and then strain it at the end of the night, before cleaning the fryer. And usually deep cleaning it every 3 days

@@mfshockIdk if it’s different for restaurants but I used to work at Chick fil a and we would would have to change the oil MULTIPLE times a day. The fryers had a counter for the number of uses before you had to change it.

When i worked at a microbrewery once a month we'd come in on a day the business was closed and do a deep clean. How do ppl let their kitchen get so bad. Clean the fryer everyday, the flat top, mop the floor, and wipe everything down at the end of the shift. It takes 30-45 mins
